If that's the truth (which liberals think it is) then Glenn would just like to point out what happens to these illegal immigrants when they are allowed to stay, and companies are allowed to take advantage of them. Scott McSellout
Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan starts his morality tour on the completely non-partisan Keith Olbermann program. Gee, what audience are you going for, Scott? The media is giving Scotty a standing ovation as he braves the evil silencing powers of the Bush administration, who squelches every voice that dares oppose them (if that's true, the Bush administration really is incompetent because about 20 dopes have written 'tell all' books bashing Bush). Glenn rewinds the clock and takes a look back at how the media treated George Stephanopolous when he released his 'tell all' book on Bill Clinton in 1999. It's quite a different story. Eco-Bombs?
There is a move a-foot to start using eco-bombs so as to not 'harm the environment'. Ummm, bombs are designed specifically to 'harm' everything in their way. This conversation led Glenn to talk about an upcoming guest---author/inventor Ray Kurzweil. Kurzweil wrote the Age of Spiritual Machines and is on the cutting edge of technology - he consistently sees what is coming next well in advance. Gov't finds MORE taxes
Congress has passed a law that will tax the assets of those who leave for good on their way out the door, as if they were selling those assets. But tax experts say the more significant change may be a provision that taxes U.S. heirs on amounts given or left to them by ex-U.S. citizens. Taxing the recipient instead of the donor will make it harder to get around the tax rules. The U.S. Government - completely inept at everything - except finding new things to tax. Read more here. They may be trying to find more tax revenue because, as some are pointing out, Montana could (in theory) bail out on the U.S. over 'breach of contract'.
