Libs hiding the homeless
Denver, for those who have never been, is notorious for its homeless problem (that doesn't seem to go away, no matter how many libs get elected there). Barack Obama and the DNC are headed there next month for their big Democratic National Convention. So, Denver is doing the logical thing in advance of the media frenzy that's about to take place there. They are sending the homeless people to the zoo (100% true). Anyone care to venture a guess if the RNC did something similar, what would happen in the media? Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
Redford's new weapon
Robert Redford has been fighting for the environment for 30 years now, so he has extensive experience in that area. It's also the reason it should come as no surprise that Redford himself has figured out a new and improved way to fight global warming. Poetry. Before you scoff, laugh, ridicule this idea --- know this: it's not just regular poetry. It's 'slam' poetry. Global warming should be solved any minute now...any minute. Read the transcript. T-Shirts fit for terrorists
Ever see someone walking around, thinking they are all cool in their Che Guevara t-shirts? Maybe they don't know the history that Che was a terrorist. Maybe they don't know the history that he wasn't even a good terrorist. Maybe they don't know the recent history that terrorists in Columbia were tricked by soldiers who posed as terrorists--by wearing Che shirts. Or maybe they do know and they just love terrorists. Glenn explores this in his latest column for CNN.com.
Battle of the Headlines 2
Today's show featured the second installment of Glenn's 'Battle of the Headlines' in which he takes a look at what the mainstream media is reporting on when it comes to the two candidates for President. Barack Obama won the first episode in a squeaker (actually it wasn't close at all) and looked to continue the winning streak in today's headline battle. How did he do in the face of a brutal, attacking press corps? Find out here: Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
