Battle of the Headlines

Can Barack Obama remain undefeated, even in the midst of his whirlwind globetrotting tour to save the world from tyranny and poverty? If that last headline was any indication, it’s pretty clear that Barack Obama’s lead in the race for media love is safe. Nevertheless, it’s always interesting to check out just how far the media will go in expressing their love for the candidate they adore so much. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).

Want further proof of media bias? Check out this "exclusive" from the Glenn Beck News Department. Staff members from Glenn Beck News have obtained a copy of John McCain’s rejected op-ed piece written for the New York Times —with the suggestions and edits the Times felt were acceptable. It’s amazing stuff—stuff almost too insane to be real. Almost.* Check it out.

*Please Note: This is not real at all, it’s completely made up. We learned this technique from the New York Times.

Glenn’s studios go Green

Here at Radio City Music Hall, they are encouraging tenants to be green this summer. Apparently they would rather have us turn off all of our money-making equipment than pay the rent. Surprisingly, this actually worked on Glenn. Suddenly, he has turned over a new leaf—a green leaf. Has Glenn gone green? Glenn starts by making over his current in-studio habits. Read the transcript. Ty Pennington

Glenn often announces to the audience that he is ‘riddled with A.D.D.’ as if they couldn’t tell. Another guy who is riddled with A.D.D. is Ty Pennington, host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Glenn and Ty talk about their A.D.D. in the only way that two extremely successful guys can—by interrupting the conversation frequently with random thoughts. Actually, it wasn’t that bad and Ty talks about not only A.D.D. and the new medication for adults he’s found—but about the great work that ABC and the Home Makeover crew continue to do in the community. Great Reads

Yesterday Glenn had author Daniel Silva on the program and they talked about his critically acclaimed newest action thriller — Moscow Rules — which is fiction, but based around world news and events that will have you thinking about what could happen. Don’t miss Daniel’s appearance on TV with Glenn tonight on Headline News. Read the transcript of the interview. (Insiders listen here).

Tomorrow on TV and Radio (and again on TV Thursday) Glenn welcomes in one of the biggest authors of all time—James Patterson. Perhaps best known for his Alex Cross books (and movies), James has many other books including a huge series geared towards kids. Don’t miss it, coming up!

Pitchfork’s and Torches

After touring the nation on his Beck 08 tour, Glenn is convinced that American’s are fed up—REALLY fed up—with the politicians on both sides of the aisle. Any moment now masses of protestors could show up at Capitol Hill with pitchforks and torches in an attempt to overthrow the inept government. But if you don’t feel like carrying an actual pitchfork and torch around, then maybe you can just express your frustration with this wonderfully done Pitchfork and Torch t-shirt. Get yours today.
