Obamamania sweeps Germany...and Stu?

On Today's Program

Germany awaits speech from 'next JFK'

The exalted one, Barack Obama, was headed for Germany today to give a speech in front of thousands of eager Germans. Perhaps the Germans were giddy that President Obama would not only be able to help change America, but also change Germany. Many of the Germans would probably like to see change from, say, it's 8% unemployment rate and looming recession? Just sayin'. That's gotta make Germany's government feel good---more of it's citizens show up for a Senator from the United States than for any of their own dopey politicians. Isn't it going to be great when President Obama makes us more like Europe, so we can cheer for their politicians when they come here! Stu reports live from the great one's speech in Germany. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).

More from the Obama World Savior Tour: Here is the video of Obama getting heckled as he visited the wailing wall. 'Jerusalem is not for sale!' shouted the protestors.

Chavez seeks arms from Russia?

Glenn welcomed back best selling author Daniel Silva (Moscow Rules) to talk about the latest going on in Russia. Hugo Chavez has apparently locked down a $1 billion arms deal with Russia. Silva says this isn't the first deal Venezuela has made with Russia either, reporting that as much as $3 billion in arms deals have been negotiated between to two countries. And where does Hugo's money come from? Glenn explains that and more... Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).

Glenn giving up soda?

Stu brought in some fantastic tasting almonds, which Glenn said were so good that they tasted just like 'street nuts'. Glenn then went on an anti-water rant which included a slam on the human body for not being able to process junk food more efficiently. It's a very scientific segment and an example of why this program has so many (0) science awards. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).

Battle of the Headlines

Obama on a roll---he is still undefeated despite having to navigate the 'delicate dance through a Mideast political minefield' which he apparently won the media over on because the article declared that he 'won applause' for his beautiful dance. Can he do it again and beat McCain in the daily headline battle? Yeah, pretty certain he can. See the results here. Read the transcript. (Insiders listen here).
