Shameless Senator
Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) has no shame. She’s openly lobbying for the ‘fairness standard,’ a tricky new name for the ‘fairness doctrine.’ She’s upset because (not kidding) ‘Obama 1260′ radio went out of business, like many other liberal talk stations. So, libs like her want to mandate that stations put libs on the air. The real shameless part is that Senator Stabenow has just a slight conflict of interest on this one – her husband is the founder of multiple (failed) liberal talk networks. Wonder if she will benefit from the Fairness Doctrine in any way? (Transcript, Insider audio)

GE in bed with Obama
Glenn’s gut occasionally takes a break from telling him to eat and gives him that ‘something’s not right’ sense. For months, the moves by GE have been bothering him but he wasn’t quite sure why. The picture became a whole lot clearer with the announcement today that President Obama named GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt to his economic advisory team. So, the company that has been pushing green technologies and turning MSNBC into a far left joke will be advising on United States domestic policy? What could possibly go wrong! March to Socialism – no disclosure
The giant spending bill is rapidly losing support, mostly because people are starting to see what their hard earned money is going towards. That’s probably why the Mayor of Chicago is telling the public that they cannot look at what they plan to spend taxpayer money on—because once ‘the media’ and ‘the papers’ got a hold of it, they would start ripping it apart. Well, that’s an easy way to pass horrible policies—just don’t tell the people about it! (Transcript, Insider audio)
