Universal Health buried in stimulus?

The Obama stimulus bill is frightening because as it gets rushed to passage, more and more items buried deep within are being discovered. Items like the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology. They’re going to monitor the treatments and make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost-effective. Yup—they used ‘government’ and ‘cost-effective’ in the same sentence. (Transcript, Insider Audio)

The New Deal didn’t work

The doctor who claimed he found a link between measles vaccinations for children and autism back in 1998 – a study that caused a panic and subsequently people to stop vaccinating their kids – misreported the findings. So, not only did cases of measles rise, but so did this research group’s notoriety, which helped them stay around long enough to produce another erroneous statistic that was used as anti-American war propaganda.
