On Today’s Program

Glenn Beck, religious zealot

Glenn tells the story of the crucifixion in a tad more unconventional way than most - set to the music of Pink Floyd. This telling of the death of Jesus was recorded by Glenn several years back and as Glenn says, always generates letters and emails asking him why he focused on the death.

"Because everybody concentrates on Easter, and I know that without Easter, His death was meaningless. I concentrate on Easter every day. Every day, every day that I draw a breath, I know it is because I found my way out of the darkness. Every day that I go home to my children and I see them, it's because of Easter. Everything I have, everything I am is because I don't celebrate Easter on just Easter. I'm grateful for Easter every day" - Glenn Beck

Obama's tough press corps

Obama complains about the tough questions his 'friends' in the press ask him.

“So words are good and understanding is good, but ultimately it has to translate into concrete actions. And it takes time. I was just talking to my press team and they were amused because some of my reporter friends from the States were asking, how come you didn’t solve everything on this trip? They said, well, you know, it’s only been a week.”

That really sounds like a serious question from a reporter too --- actually it sounds more like jovial bonding between mates. Or, maybe it was a serious question and they just expect a lot from the deity on their dashboard. You don't have the Dashboard Obama yet? What are you waiting for??

911 Audio of Marcus high speed chase

Absolutely amazing audio of the Marcus Luttrell 911 call as he chased the scumbags who killed his dog at over 100 mph for about 40 miles. Some things to note about this audio are the overall calmness Marcus displayed, the amazing work of the operators to get officers in position, and the fact that everyone came out alive, despite a brief moment towards the end where Marcus obviously lets a little of his emotions out on the perps. What do you think of first when you hear 'Exxon' or 'Wal-Mart' or 'CEO'? Probably not many positive phrases came to mind. Why is that? Why have we demonized the rich? Glenn gives the answer in today’s Beck Talks (Video blog link here)
