There are thousands of Tea Parties being organized in states and towns everywhere, but will the media bother to cover it? Fox News is the only one so far who's paid any attention to them, the others have practically ignored the movement. Chances are the nets will cover them tomorrow -- but they have a game plan on how to cover them. What is that plan? Glenn talks about that and more on the Tea Parties in this week’s 'Beck Talks' video blog. VIDEO
Reuters: Rise in delinquent tax returns: People are scared of the tax man this year. Wonder if Obama will notice the tax day protests? Find a Tea Party near you: There are thousands to choose from -- find one near you at the 912 Project site.
Glenn talks Tea with the Nuge
San Antonio is gearing up for the big Tea Party, and among those attending in the crowd along with Glenn is Ted Nugent. The tireless Nugent is never short on passion and he's certainly never short on words. What's he saying about the Tea Party protests and the great comments from Governor Rick Perry (TX) today? ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
Glenn has good news if you are one of the 48% who said, in a new poll, that they don't mind paying the current tax rate: The government is looking for even more ways to tax you! States are cracking down on those who make money in their state but don't live there. California is taking this angle to a whole new level as they have a full time employee who does nothing but track pro baseball players who play in the state. No wonder California is broke - all MLB schedules and player salaries are online, so it probably takes this guy about 30 minutes to do all his work for the year. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
American Progressivism Part II
All this week, author of American Progressivism, R.J. Pestritto is giving insight into what it means to be a 'progressive' as Hillary Clinton and most democrats profess to be these days. In part II of this special series to Glenn's email newsletter, Pestritto looks at how progressives openly attacked the Founders and their ideas and unashamedly denounced the bedrock principles of the constitution. Suddenly, being 'progressive' doesn't sound so warm and fuzzy, does it? Read part II in the series here.
Guest passes out on Glenn's show
Maybe Glenn's friend and TV guest David Buckner was thinking about all the trillions Obama is spending because in the middle of a segment last night on Glenn's TV show he passed out and hit the deck. Thankfully he's doing just fine, but the moment spooked Glenn because David did not look well after the fall. While most normal human beings are expressing concern over David's condition, the soul-less portion of America are spending their time commenting online, saying that this is just another stupid ratings trick by Glenn Beck.
