Obama used as propaganda tool by Chavez

On Today’s Program

Obama used as propaganda tool

It was embarrassing enough when Fidel Castro expressed his love for President Obama, but Hugo Chavez took the humiliation to a whole new level with the naive President of the barely free world. Despite this warning from Hillary Clinton back in the primary debates that meeting with dictators would lead to the President being used as propaganda, Obama walked right into the trap. With all eyes focused on Obama, Hugo Chavez shoved an anti-American book into Obama's face -- and Obama accepted the 'gift' with a smile. He even held it up for the cameras. That anti-American book is now #2 on Amazon. Way to go, Barry, you literally are a tool. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

>>Between Barry and his fawning friends in the mainstream media, it's easy to think that common sense is dead---but it's not! Get a strong dose of common sense at Glenn Beck's Common Sense comedy tour --- tickets are on sale now exclusively for Glenn Beck Insiders. Not an Insider? Sign up now.

Your stimulus $$ hard at work...

That John Murtha must have something going for him -- because no matter how often he calls his own constituents racist hicks, he keeps getting re-elected. Yeah, yeah---it's all that federal money he gets pouring into the area. The people just love the things that the money he brings in gets spent on---if 'the people' actually means 'Murtha's friends who like getting tens of millions of dollars' then that would be a more accurate statement. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Dodd has 5 donors in all of CT

Speaking of money, how does a Senator get elected time and time again when he has only five---yes, five---donors in his entire home state? Good question---but the mystery is somewhat revealed with the fact that he's raised a ton of money outside the state of Connecticut, which prompts a debate between Stu and Glenn on campaign funding. Should we promote a McCain/Feingold part II or should we let people continue to vote for a guy who no one in the state likes enough to give money to? ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

>>What a guy: President Barack Obama is asking federal department and agency chiefs to find $100,000,000 to cut from the $3,550,000,000 budget when he holds his first formal Cabinet meeting. Ooooh, what a tough cookie -- first, he proposes the trillions in spending -- then says 'hey, you better find some cuts!' And he means a lot of cuts, too --- a healthy 0.0029% worth!

Antarctic ice...expanding?

You've heard the reports a zillion times -- 'the ice caps are melting! The polar bears won't have anything to float on! Cities will be flooded!' -- all because of our addiction to oil, SUV's, blah blah blah. The next scientist who apparently wants to be ridiculed by the left is from Australia --- and he has the nerve to report that the Antarctic ice is (gasp) expanding, not shrinking. How could this be? ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Baldacci

Glenn is a big fan of fiction and the book he is currently reading is First Family (out tomorrow) by David Baldacci. Glenn interviewed the author, who has 76 million copies of his books in print, and they talked about everything from why reviewers blow him off to how we get ourselves out of the current mess our country is in. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Reagan vs. Obama

President Obama took office in some tough economic conditions -- and he's responded by cranking up the printing presses and spending money we don't have. He claims 'only government' can solve the economic crisis. President Ronald Reagan also entered office in tough economic conditions -- how was he able to turn things around with less government control? It's all revealed in ' President Ronald Reagan's Initial Actions Project'. This book is the first-ever release of the document that guided Reagan to unprecedented success in his first six months in office and the years that followed. For a limited time, Glenn Beck Insiders can get a free copy of this ebook, which includes a special introduction from Arthur B. Laffer, Ph.D. and co-author of 'The End of Prosperity'. If you're not a glennbeck.com Insider, you can buy the book here.

Tonight on TV: Glenn uses the analogy of 'The Truman Show' movie to describe the mess we are currently in --- and it's 4/20 (if you don't know why that's important and you have teenagers -- google 420 ASAP) don't miss it tonight at 5pm only on The Fox News Channel!
