**WEASEL ALERT: Fearing a loss from challenger Pat Toomey in the GOP primary campaign, Senator Arlen Specter leaves GOP -- despite just last month saying he wouldn't leave the party because 'balance is important.' "I am unwilling to have my twenty-nine year Senate record judged by the Pennsylvania Republican primary electorate" said Specter. Glenn will have more on this spineless wonder tonight on TV, 5pm on The Fox News Channel.
Obama to Reid: 'I have a gift, Harry'
Harry Reid has a book coming out which should be eco-friendly because no one will be buying it. In it he describes an interaction with Barack Obama from 2004. Even Reid's own wife advised on not bringing it up in the book because it 'might' be taken the wrong way.
Here is the quote:
Reid, D-Nev., writes: "'That speech was phenomenal, Barack,' I told him. And I will never forget his response. Without the barest hint of braggadocio or conceit, and with what I would describe as deep humility, he said quietly: 'I have a gift, Harry.'
That is not a joke. Glenn, Stu and Dan all attempt to proclaim that they have a gift, without any hint of conceit and with deep humility. The experiment does not end well. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
>>Apparently someone forgot to inform Obama's teleprompter about this 'gift' The One has. His teleprompter malfunctioned this week and he actually stopped, requested them to scroll it up, looking a little ridiculous in the process.
Obama: 'It won't happen again'
President Barack Obama said that the Air Force One incident -- you know, the tiny little 'mistake' of buzzing around Manhattan with the jumbo jet, causing people to panic and think an attack was underway all for a photo op -- he said it will 'never happen again.' Man, how will he ever manage to avoid skimming the skyscrapers in Manhattan with Air Force One while doing a photo op? That happens all the time...a pretty lofty goal by the President.
