First 100 days for Obama

Only about 1,362 more to go! Not that anyone is counting or anything, because let's face it, spending trillions of dollars we don't have is fun, isn't it? Speaking of that, Obama had one of those fancy town hall meetings today and had the audacity of hope to say this: "I have personally asked leadership to pass into law, rules that follow the simple principle: you pay for what you spend. So that government acts like any responsible family does. Want a new program? You've got to pay for it. We can't rest until we restore the fiscal discipline that will keep us from leaving our children with a mountain of debt."

What a riot this guy is, eh?

Swine Flu Central

>> PC police in full force: complaints over the name 'swine' flu are increasing. It may be hurting the pork industry.

>>Glenn reacts: "Can I tell you something? You can't get this flu from eating pork. How about we don't need a (Senate) hearing. How about we just say, hey, dummy, you cannot get this flu from eating pork. Now, if a fat piggy sits next to you and sneezes, then you can get the swine flu."

Toronto takes green to a new level

Massive carbon emitting monsters (a.k.a. large cities) like to make their green loving citizens feel like they are not dumping gargantuan amounts of carbon into the air by sending around recycling trucks to pick up different things. Residents of various cities are buying into this and even brag about how green they are. Oakland residents make New Yorkers jealous because they compost used up coffee grounds, and Toronto wows them all with how they are helping to grow crops with the help of used diapers. Spineless Specter

Senator Arlen Specter has bolted from the GOP in favor of the Democrat Party -- a move completely done out of self preservation. He was heading for a massive defeat in the GOP primary against challenger Pat Toomey. Hey, forget about all that 'balance of power is important' talk a couple of weeks ago from Specter---we've got an election to win here! Glenn uses the ever popular 'Popeye's Chicken vs. KFC' analogy to explain the Specter switch. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
