Obama addresses Muslims

President Barack Obama spoke to Muslims throughout Egypt as part of his U.S. apology tour (part 2) and said that tension 

"has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations."

His speech was apparently somewhat well received by Muslims — but he didn’t quite capture the hearts of Hamas: 

“There is a change between the speech of President Obama and previous speeches made by George Bush,’ said Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza. But he complained that Obama did not specifically note the suffering in Gaza following the three-week Israeli incursion earlier this year and did not apologize for U.S. military attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Keep sucking up, Mr. President! It’ll be so neat to be friends with Hamas! ( STORY)

They even started a campaign to ‘fight the smears’ that he was Muslim. It’s a tad ironic that the guy who is going to ease the tension between Muslim nations and America thinks being called a Muslim is a ‘smear,’ but that’s another story. Tapper illustrates how once again the candidate differs from the President — going from fighting smears to suddenly touting his Muslim background. STORY

Another Government oopsie

‘Oh, come on, what could they have done that was so bad?’ you ask. How about ‘accidentally’ posting on the internet a list of sensitive government and civilian nuclear facilities and their activities in the United States? Yeah — OOPS. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Greg Pollowitz of the Planet Gore blog pointed out an even scarier comment in the article: 

“However, Energy Secretary Steven Chu, questioned about the disclosure at a House hearing, expressed concern with respect to a uranium storage facility at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Y-12 facility in Tennessee. The facility holds large quantities of highly enriched uranium, which if obtained can be used to fashion a nuclear weapon. ‘That’s of great concern,’ said Chu, referring to the Y-12 site. ‘We will be looking hard and making sure physical security of those sites (at Y12) is sufficient to prevent eco-terrorists and others getting hold of that material.”

The eco-freaks want nukes? Yikes. STORY
