Creating or saving jobs

Once he became President, Barack Obama sneakily changed his wording on the giant job promises he made during the campaign. Instead of just 'creating' jobs, he added the words 'or saving' to the phrase, leaving people to wonder exactly how he would calculate that number. Since there really is no way to tally a 'saved' job, this essentially gives Obama the freedom to say whatever he wants about jobs. Finally, he's announced how he will calculate the jobs he's saving. Glenn tries not to let his head explode as he breaks down the numbers on 'jobs created or saved' by Obama. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Obama believes life begins at conception?

Obama is one of the most liberal politicians - especially when it comes to abortion. He's the only Illinois Senator who voiced opposition in 2001 to a bill that tried to protect babies who survived botched abortions. He will always side with the woman citing her right to choose. To have this position, one must not believe life begins at conception or even in the womb -- otherwise you would be admittedly advocating murder. So it's odd that Obama said, this Father’s Day in Parade Magazine, "That is why we need fathers to step up, to realize that their job does not end at conception." Wait, how can they be fathers at conception if the baby is not a baby at conception? ( Transcript, Insiders Audio)

Smearing Gov Sanford

Do you remember Governor Sanford? He was the first governor to come out and turn down the stimulus money - of course he was later forced to take it by the courts, but the move made him the ire of the left. So when the Governor announced he was taking a few days away from the office, the media blows it up into a scandal. Glenn reacts to the media nonsense. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Government at work: Would you believe a story about the Los Angeles Zoo spending millions (about $7 million) in taxpayer money on a Chinese Golden Monkey exhibit -- only to have the Chinese decide they don't want to send the monkeys? Wait, what happened to the firefighters and the teachers? California's government tells us they have no money for them, yet they are spending money on Chinese Golden Monkeys? ( STORY) No wonder 90% of Americans, according to the L.A. Times, are concerned with government spending.

Common Sense...Update!

We've got good news and bad news, which do you want first? The good news? Okay: Over a million copies of Common Sense will soon be in print! Unfortunately, the bad news is that because of this darn Obama economy, it takes almost a week for the books to get from the printer to the stores. If you haven't been able to find a copy at your local store yet, keep looking, they'll be piles of them pretty soon. I guess it turns out that more Americans still care about Common Sense than we thought.

Misleading headline

"Widespread support for Universal Health Care" is what the headline read, too bad the actual story said nothing of the sort. If you actually read the story, many of the poll questions show a completely different view: Americans do not feel that government will be able to provide better health care than we currently have. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Tonight on TV: Cracking the Fed’s books wide open -- the new legislation fighting to keep them accountable. Senator DeMint speaks out tonight at 5p et on the Fox News Channel!
