Save the parks or freedom?

With our country in deep trouble - states like California are looking over the budgets and trying to find anything they can to cut. In California, the Governator started looking at shutting down the state park system indefinitely in order to help the state survive. Soon after that, California gets a letter from the Department of the Interior saying, basically, don't do that. Glenn does not react positively to the land grab by the Fed and talks about National Parks. Why do we have them anyway? ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
