Obama's creepy followers

John McCain wasn't too far off the mark when he labeled Barack Obama 'The One' on the campaign trail, turning his popularity into somewhat of a negative. All one has to do is look at the creepy videos of his supporters, who engage in bizarre ritualistic chanting to show support far more often than mere mortal human beings would be comfortable with. Glenn looks at a few of these bizarre supporter clips, including the ultra creepy Ashton Kutcher 'I pledge' video featuring dozens of celebrities. Funny, don't remember the celebs pledging to help W. Check out Glenn's latest Beck Talks video blog on 'The One's’ crazy followers. WATCH

Arguing with Idiots on…Taxes

Available Now!

You've probably had this conversation with your idiot friend many times. It starts with you complaining about your taxes and it ends with your idiot friend saying something like “Well how else are you going to get roads built or run fire departments?” or, even worse, “It's about time the rich start paying their fair share!”  What is “fair” exactly? Glenn answers that and a whole lot more in today's episode of Arguing with Idiots. ( Transcript, Insider Audio

IDIOT POP QUIZ:  When idiots aren’t arguing about taxes, they’re likely complaining about incomes for certain groups being too low.  Do they have a point?  Well, take a guess at which group of people had the highest gains in real median income from 1980-2007. (Hint: It wasn’t white, wealthy males!)

For the answer see page 195 of Arguing with Idiots. Don't have it yet? Get your copy now!

Exxon Profits...good?

Another popular argument that would be difficult to argue without the facts is the counter to the 'Exxon and their evil profits!' argument. How could a company that makes billions and billions of dollars a year possibly justify all those obscene profits while regular ordinary Americans struggle to afford gas? There is one key measure -- a fair measure -- to look at besides the one weasel politicians do to find the answer. What can you look at besides just the raw profit number? Glenn explains it to the idiot. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Obama at the UN

Obama gave yet another 'historic' speech at the UN, where he ushered in a new era of foreign policy. ‘The One’ basically told the audience to stop waiting on America for every little thing and start acting. Oh, that will fly in Europe -- it's tough enough to get them to work more than 12 hours a week, let alone do something of value to the globe. But, Obama was clearly upstaged by Libyan President Omar Qaddafi, who appeared to have scribbled a few hand written notes on binder paper --- and talked for about 2 straight hours. Ahh, the UN -- what a great use of half a billion in US taxpayer money, huh? STORY
