America fails the Founders quiz

Glenn came across a shocking poll today that shows Americans have no clue when it comes to America. Obviously everyone can forget dates and occasionally confuse which event happened first and so on. But how essential do people feel basic rights guaranteed in the Constitution, like gun rights, are? Even if you are expecting a horrifying answer, you will still be horrified at the answer. Find out where America stands. ( Transcript, Insider Audio) Check out the survey results HERE.

On board with Flight 253

Glenn talked with Kurt Haskell today, a lawyer who was on Flight 253, the same flight a terrorist tried to blow up mid flight.  As Kurt was waiting in the seating area to board the plane, something caught his attention. What happened next will boggle your mind as to how in the world this terrorist was ever able to board this plane.  Check out the interview from radio today. Non-conservative conservative strikes again

NYT columnist David Brooks kicked off the New Year the only way he knew how – by not being conservative. Brooks is the guy who claims to be conservative, then disagrees with everything conservative, causing all non-conservatives to say ‘even conservatives disagree with conservatives.’ Today he was talking about the sour mood of the country kicking off 2010. Does Glenn agree? ( Transcript, Insider Audio) Read the article HERE

Krugman half right?

It would be shocking for New York Times resident idiot Paul Krugman to be half right on something because he’s usually 0% correct. This week Krugman warned Obama on making the same mistakes made during the Great Depression, specifically the great mistake of 1937. Krugman believes government stopped spending too soon – what was the half that Krugman got right? Glenn reads some of the article and reacts on radio today. Discover the Next Great Thriller Writer!

Seven Days, our Fusion Magazine serial novel project is now moving into its fourth (!) year. We’ve been lucky enough to have household names like James Patterson, Daniel Silva and Nelson DeMille all contribute, but part of the fun is also in discovering the next great thriller writer, and we have a terrific new candidate: Patrick Lee.

Lee’s first book, called The Breach, is one of those that you’ll read in three nights, then be disappointed to find out that you can’t yet buy the sequel. A member of our staff read a pre-release copy and can’t recommend it highly enough (assuming you don’t mind missing some sleep). Best of all, The Breach is a paperback original that can be bought for less than $8. Get your copy now and then be sure to look for Lee’s Seven Days chapter in an upcoming issue of Fusion.

TV TONIGHT: Case Closed Week continues with Cloward & Piven, the radicals who wanted to collapse the system and start over from scratch. How are they relevant today? Find out tonight at 5pm only on the Fox News Channel!
