Nothing quite exemplifies government waste quite like the State of the Union address. It’s three minutes of actual information surrounded by about 45 minutes of clapping. And it’s not just regular applause, oh no, it’s a childish display of standing and clapping for only your favorite things, as if the American public doesn’t know which issues Democrats like and which Republicans like. Glenn plans on delivering his State of the Union address on radio tomorrow. Last night on TV Glenn highlighted the stupidity of an article by Joe Klein of Time where he said conservatives were stupid for not supporting the stimulus because they didn’t even know about that ‘magical’ $60-$80′ arriving in their paycheck courtesy of Uncle Sam. How could you ever miss $60 in your paycheck? And how could you miss all the liberals dancing in the streets over their new found fortune? Free speech making a comeback

When the Supreme Court came to a 5-4 decision out of the blue last week that allowed corporations to donate to political campaigns, it was a victory for free speech. Reigning in big business and their influence on politicians is a big concern, but the First Amendment should always be the trump card.
