Have you seen this poster on The Blaze? The poster is being used on a web page promoting a Council on American-Islamic Relations event next month in Oakland. For those who don’t click through to The Blaze, it says, “Build a Wall of Resistance…Don’t Talk to the FBI.” Well, the people at CAIR say that the image is simple being misinterpreted, and Glenn and crew tried to find all the ways that it could be misread.
First, Stu suggested that FBI could stand for a “Flying Beaver Invasion”, and that people have to unite in a wall of resistance against the beavers.
Glenn thought it was a wall of resistance against bad guys in obvious black hats and long black coats.
Thankfully a caller (who sounded a lot like Stu), called in with some analysis.
The caller said, “I would have to side with CAIR on this one because it does seem like a manufactured controversy. It seems to me in looking, I've studied many, many posters like this that get involved in controversy and they studied art. I have a master in art history.”
“The most obvious explanation is that it's a very simple warning on infectious disease. This is a ‑‑ you see people slamming their doors shut, making sure that they're safely in their homes. It's the resisting the spreading of the flu. And don't talk to those who are infected ‑‑ who are a Flu Bug Infected.”
The other possibility the caller suggested? It’s a warning against people in novelty t-shirts.
“Yes. See, the problem here is that there's been a major issue in our communities with people being worried about a new threat to women, and what's happening here is that men are going to stores in malls, novelty gift stores and buying shirts that say ‘Federal Breast Inspector.’”
“If you see someone with a T-shirt that says Federal Breast Investigator, do not let them investigate you,” the caller added.
