Dave is returning today to speak with Dr. Keith Ablow on "The 7 Live" at 2pm ET. His original story can be seen below:
Glenn proclaimed today, “The future is extraordinarily bright and it begins today with a new commitment to a personal revolution,” but one of his first callers was struggling to find the same optimism that Glenn had.
Dave called into the radio show at about 10:30am and said, “I think I hit bottom. My house is in foreclosure. Not really a job. I'm doing what I can, going out on my own to try to get stuff done. Just my expertise in what I used to do, taking it and people are giving me some accolades about that, but I had Christmas Day alone, New Year's Eve alone. Because of the financial situation, my girlfriend took off, even though she said she still loves me but there's just no financial security for now.”
Dave added, “But it seems like every time I'm totally despondent, to just take a handful of Vicodin and drink a [expletive deleted] load of beer -- pardon me -- you're there and you were there again this morning.”
Glenn said that it was no coincidence that he was there for Dave this morning when he was at such a low point. Glenn said, “You are exactly in the right place. Because I have been there. When you are at the place to where you have the choice of live or die and you mean it, that I just can't do it anymore, I'm just going to die, and you choose to live, it is, it is hard, hard work, but I'm telling you, Dave, you're exactly where you need to be and it's not a coincidence that you're listening today.”
“You have now everything you need to restart your life and have a personal revolution and be part of the solution and not the problem,” Glenn said.
Glenn promised to get Dave whatever he could so he could benefit from the “E4” project that Glenn is launching. He also asked his radio team to get Dave’s contact information so Glenn could personally stay in touch with him and support him through this difficult time.
Glenn promised Dave, “You, Dave, are about to start your own journey on that course. Buckle up. Amazing things are on your way.”
