An employee of Freedom Works (an advertiser with The Glenn Beck Program), had her camera and her person violently slapped by a union protester outside of her Washington DC office.
Tabitha Hale described the attack on today’s radio show. “Well, the thing is I was there and there were a couple of hundred people in the courtyard and there was a lot of stuff going on. There was a person at the front by the buses with the bullhorn and so I was kind of wandering around and I heard my colleague get called a nasty name and so when the voices started to rise, I turned around because I've been covering protests for a couple of years now. That's what I do. And you've got where the action is. It's kind of an instinct."
"So I turn around with the camera, which is my iPhone, and I was filming him and as soon as he realized that I was there ‑‑ and there were a couple of other cameras around I believe that didn't belong to me and I don't know who they were, but he kind of, like, snarled at me. And you can see in the video where he goes right for me and it was just kind of like there was this very obvious, like, hatred. And he had no idea who I was. I guess he probably surmised that I was with Freedom Works just because I was standing with my coworkers. But it was very, very bizarre.”
Tabitha plans to file a report with the police.
