On radio this morning, Glenn played some shocking video of protester's chanting “You suck!” and “Shame!” at a Wisconsin Republican State Senator.
You can watch the whole video here.
“This is from the mob outside of Wisconsin capitol shouting at a GOP member who's just trying to leave and go home. He's got to walk to his car and get out of the capitol. Listen to this mob,” Glenn said as the protesters chanted “You Suck!”.
“Remember the scenes of the Tea Party doing this stuff?” Pat said with sarcasm.
“Let me tell you something. There is hatred growing. Deep hatred growing. And it will seep into everyone's blood. If you don't stop it now,” Glenn said.
“Now, you are not going to be able to control other people's actions, but you must put a shield around yourself to make sure this hatred does not grow in you because times are going to become more tough and if you don't build a wall now, it will be too late for you. And you will be part of the problem,” he warned.
“You've got to find yourself and you've got to plant yourself in love and peace and you have to know what you believe and you have to be willing to stand for it, but you cannot get into the hatred. Because they are going to push and poke and prod like you cannot believe.”
“I was wrong about one thing. When I said they wanted you to rise up in anger and hate and violence, that's not their first choice. That is the choice where it would cause the top to come down and silence everybody and you would have been an enemy of the state, but instead what they really wanted was what Cloward and Piven talked about. Where is the anger in the streets? They want the voice of the people to rise up.”
“Now, they will use union members. They will use your name, 12 million AFL‑CIO union members. They will use your name and your money for the policies that the top will come down with. And I guarantee you, they are going to rise up. They will stand up and it won't be a crisis that you really even recognize as a crisis. It will be some tough times, et cetera, et cetera, but they will rise up and the top will come down and say, the people are speaking in the streets.”
“The American people can only speak at the voting booth. And we already have. And we told them the direction that we wanted to go. They are not listening,” Glenn said of the “leaders” in Washington.
