Celebrate good times come on! It’s campaign season, and despite a floundering economy, high unemployment, war in Afghanistan, war in Iraq, not-war in Libya, and a cornucopia of problems both foreign and domestic, President Obama announced his re-election bid on Monday morning! What did Glenn think of the campaign video Obama’s team released? He gave his reaction on radio this morning.
You can see the whole “viral” video below:
Glenn and Pat certainly took issue with some things said in the video (shocking!).
“Jobs, graduation rates, none of those things -- the President does none of those things,” Pat said. “Is he going to study with your children? Is he going to buy them a house?”
“Well, yes, I think he might do that,” Glenn said.
“Yes. Unfortunately that is what he is going to do,” Pat said.
At the same time that Obama has kicked off his new campaign, a new GOP ad that mocks the President and all of his “accomplishments” over the past year.
“The interesting thing about this ad, to me, is that the GOP is embracing the Tea Parties or at least they're using the Tea Parties, which I find offensive, I find very offensive. The Tea Parties have been bashed and are only going to get worse,” Glenn said.
“The bashing of the Tea Parties and -- mark my words -- the GOP is currently taking out everyone that can make a difference in this election. They are taking them out one by one. Sarah Palin, Bachmann, DeMint,” Glenn said.
“Every single person that can make a difference is being taken out. Don't you get discouraged at any point because it's not them that have made the difference. It is you. And as long as you band together, you're going to be okay and you will make the difference.”
