Glenn had to stage an intervention for Pat on radio today. Why? Was it drugs? Alcohol? Sex? Nope. Pat was angry because he wanted “one honest broker” of news information. The media continues to say Glenn is leaving his daily FOX News show (note: we still have a show on at 5pm ET tonight) because of ratings, advertisers, and myriad of other (false) reasons, and Pat is pissed.
“He's angry. He's been angry for the last couple of days,” Glenn said.
Pat has been ignoring his own advice to Glenn to not read any of the guesses as to why Glenn and FOX are changing their relationship. This morning, Pat finally broke over the USA Today piece which discussed Glenn’s departure from his TV show.
“That was the final straw, by the way, the USA Today. I mean, it's a fluff paper, especially the life section,” Pat said.
“May I give the lecture you gave to me over the last four months?” Glenn joked. “You know if you do this, you know what they're going to say. You have to be prepared. You have to mentally prepare, because you know what they're going to say. You know it's all going to be turned around.”
“You know they're going to lie about all the details. Blah, blah, blah,” Stu chimed in.
“Just wanted one honest broker in the rest of the media, one. That's all I'm looking for,” Pat said.
“You're worried about the fat clown at 5:00 on TV and what they're going to say? You're thinking there's an honest broker going to do that one when they're not doing the overthrow of United States government?” Glenn said.
“I know in the end how it ends. I know. And it's not the way George Soros thinks. I don't have fear, because I've lost my soul once before and it was redeemed and I realized that's the only thing I truly own and that's the only thing that I need is my soul. That's it. That's it. So, I will stand and I will stand with as little fear as possible. I'm not stupid. With as little fear as possible, but I ask you now to stand, to stand together. They are taking me out, as well. For what reason?” Glenn said.
“We should point out they're trying to take you out,” Stu said. “And they're failing spectacularly.”
“They started with Van Jones in this USA Today article that Pat quoted to me a minute ago when I said -- he's looking for something and I just see Media Matters and Color For Change and I'm, like, USA Today goes to Color For Change, Van Jones group, and Media Matters, the George Soros group and by the way, Color For Change is also a George Soros group,” Glenn said.
“They go to those guys for the comments. I mean, how stupid do they have to be,” Glenn said.
“The great thing is these people who are plotting revolution, they can do it in Egypt, they can do it in South America, they can do it in many places, but there are too many places and towns and communities in this country. America is different. They don't understand it. They really don't. George Soros has caused revolutions in, what, five countries or collapsed economies in five countries and revolutions in three. I don't even know. He's never dealt with Americans. He doesn't understand us,” Glenn said.
“All you have to do is get out of fear, make sure you're in the right place, and just don't be afraid to sit down or to stand up. Just always stand,” Glenn said.
