George Soros has an interview with Tavis Smiley (no, we don’t know who that is either), and during the interview Soros made his typical Soros statements about how outdated American democracy has become. Glenn gave his reaction to the interview on radio this morning.
“[Smiley] somehow or another scored an interview with George Soros, something that I cannot do. George won't talk to me because I'll make him look stupid,” Glenn said.
Soros told Smiley, “Unfortunately America has gone in the wrong direction. America's the... most successful... in a way, oldest living democracy. And... it has a Constitution that was very actively debated, the Federalist Papers, a lot of ‑‑ a lot of thought and critical thinking went into creating the Constitution. But now the political, the level of political discourse has diminished.”
“No it hasn’t,” Pat pointed out. “It's the same level, it's the same rhetoric, it's the same kind of stuff.”
“When Thomas Jefferson, friends of Thomas Jefferson were calling John Adams a hermaphrodite –“ Glenn said. “When John Adams responded by saying that Thomas Jefferson was a rapist and would rape your children and burn your towns to the ground if he's elected.”
“ I love how they always, they always set up the false premise and then you're just supposed to go with it. You're just supposed to go along with them on that ride, ask you never know where that ride is going to end because it's not ending in the place of the truth,” Pat said. “So they set up the false premise and then that's what you just go with as a society. We can't speak on the level that our Founders did anymore, at least not if you disagree with George Soros.”
Glenn again issued a challenge to George Soros to appear on his show and speak with him directly rather than through intermediaries.
