It seems like some people are starting to wake up to the fact that the economy isn’t heading to the recovery that the administration wants you to think is coming.
“Looks like 48% of us now believe the Great Depression is headed our way. Welcome to the table. I'm glad finally your neighbors are joining us. How sweet is that? Now, how many of that 48% are willing to now do the things that will prepare them so they can be of help and service to the others?” Glenn asked.
“ I'm a little, I'm a little upset, quite honestly, at the gloom and doom of the New York Times and the Time magazine. The latest cover of Time magazine is ‘What Recovery?’”
Why the fear mongering?
“These people are just fear mongering to make money,” Stu said – mocking the accusations the left traditionally directs at Glenn.
“Then they get on and then they start talking about civil unrest,” Glenn said.
“Look. People, this is again, there are humanitarian and, you know, you're small enough to see this. And people, if it continues, we're going to see some civil unrest in this country. I hate to say that but I think it's imminently possible,” James Carville said.
Sounds suspiciously like what Glenn has been saying could be coming, right? Must be OK when a leader on the left says it.
“ I've heard rhetoric like this before. And mainly it was from me, and they were making fun of me for it. Now they're at the table,” Glenn said.
“I was a crazy madman, and you were dangerous for listening to me. So do they believe it. If they believe it, then good. Join us, will you? Join us. Help us build shelters and lifeboats. Help us. Help us. Help Americans free themselves from onerous restrictions so we can help others. What do you say? Help us by saying, you know what? Each individual should prepare to be self reliant and be the American that we've always been,” Glenn said.
“Are they only saying this now for ratings and everything else?” Glenn said.
“There is another option: That they are only saying this because now is the time that again we told you this would happen. We told you that this summer in June and July, I believe I said it would happen, in June or July, the stimulus, quantitative easing would stop and so you would start to hear outcries that, oh, we need more stimulus, we need more stimulus. Is that what's going on?”
“I think it's quantitative easing. They're easing us into the quantitative,” Pat suggested.
“They're exploiting the crisis that they created,” Glenn theorized.
