Glenn has some exciting things planned for the “Restoring Courage” event in Israel, but some media outlets have done some questionable reporting on the event today. What are some of the crazier things being reported?
Well, some are saying the Wailing Wall will be the backdrop like the Lincoln Memorial was at 8/28. True? Nope. “I think that will be in bad taste. That might be in really bad taste,” Glenn said.
“Although 'N Sync is performing on the Wailing Wall and the Backstreet Boys are just across the plaza and then Justin Bieber performs at halftime,” Pat joked.
There have also been numerous reports that several political figures will be attending the event, but many of the names who have been reported – Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachmann – have not committed to attend nor have they been contacted (editor’s note: And really, Mike Huckabee? Glenn and he don’t exactly see eye to eye on most things . Remember Huck’s weird rant about booger bears? That was weird).
Nevertheless, both Senator Joe Lieberman and 2012 GOP candidate Herman Cain have announced their support for Glenn and the event in Jerusalem.
While appearing on Glenn’s FOX News show, Sen. Lieberman told Glenn, “I think the idea of the restoring courage gathering in Jerusalem is an important idea and a very constructive one at a very important time for Israel and a time that also could be potentially destruction for Israel and for us -- for the United States of America, and I know you want it to be nonpartisan, nondenominational.”
“It's not against anybody or any group; it's to stand with Israel at a time when a lot of the rest of the world is attempting to delegitimize Israel,” the Senator added.
Will Senator Lieberman be at the event itself in Jersusalem? “God willing and a Senate schedule willing, I'm going to be with you in Jerusalem in August.”
Regardless of whether or not the Senator is able to attend the event in person, he did announce his firm support for the event and he will be standing with Glenn in supporting Israel in August.

Herman Cain joined Glenn just a few days later, and during the interview he volunteered his support and his intention to appear at the event.
While discussing the frustrations that many everyday Americans feel, Cain said, “But here's one of the biggest things that they can do, which is what's happening in this country. Get active with somebody, with some organization. Don't just sit there. Do something.”
And what does Cain plan to do about Obama throwing Israel “under the bus”? “We have so much in common with Israel. And they have really stood courageously in that part of the world surrounded by their enemies. And, oh, by the way, speaking of courage, you are going to be doing "Restoring Courage" in Israel. I'm going to be there with you.”
“Look, I love the fact that you are going to do "Restoring Courage" in Israel, which has been one of the most courageous nations on the planet. We need some courage back here at home.”
