The New York Times continues to reveal what they really think of Middle America, as David Carr, NYT columnist, recently said, "If it's Kansas, if it's Missouri, no big deal. You know, that's the dance of the low‑sloping foreheads, the middle places." Carr's statements, according to Glenn, are just the latest example of the contempt progressives have for Middle America. Glenn pointed out that these comments are an extension of Margaret Sanger and others who advocated eugenics and the killing of the undesirables. While Carr's statements may not be that extreme, they come from the same philosophy. "These are the kinds of words that have always, since the history of progressivism, since it began, has always led to mass death. Because you haven't evolved enough. Now, if you're a Neanderthal and you're holding back society and you truly believe the ends justify the means, why not kill the low‑sloping foreheads?"
While progressives might be excited about any coming conflicts that lead to disrupting Middle America and collapsing the status quo, Glenn emphasized that he is leaving Fox News in order to start taking a more active role alongside Middle America. "We have four days left on Fox because I really believe what I'm saying, and it is time to roll up the sleeves and stop pointing out the problems. We're going to start with the solutions."
