While Obama is preaching the benefits of higher taxes, progressive leaders in California are putting the philosophy into action! And what’s happening as a result?
“Beginning Friday Amazon.com, and other large out of state retailers are going to be required to collect sales tax on purchases that their California customers make online. Amazon.com and other major Internet stores are poised to get more expensive beginning this Friday. This is happening, I believe yeah, Amazon and Overstock.com told thousands of California Internet marketing affiliates that they will stop paying commissions for referrals of so called click through customers. And Amazon in Seattle and Overstock in Salt Lake told affiliates that they would have to pay to move to another state if they would continue earning commissions for referring customers,” Glenn read.
“Yeah, you want to crush small business and entrepreneurship right now. That's the time for it. It's right at this moment is when these people who run their own businesses are going to get extra taxes,” Stu said.
“Did you see the governor, too, said it was a common sense move? You've got to feel like in California it actually is common sense to raise taxes during a recession on something that's never been taxed by anyone else. And that does seem like it's the common sense in California,” Stu said.
