During the post-TV interview last night, one viewer asked why Glenn decided he had to get out of television at this point - a good question considering the success of the show. Glenn revealed that he started to feel like he needed to leave television around the time of 8/28, but he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do. It wasn’t until he met with Billy Graham that he finally started to understand that he should wait and soon he would find something he should be running to – not just leaving TV behind.
Glenn was also asked how he stays grounded despite the success he has achieved in his professional life. He explained that if he hadn’t “bottomed out” he never would have found God and the atonement that changed his life. He explained that America needs the same kind of experience, as without reaching the bottom it can never pull itself back up.
