Glenn announced the new location for the ‘Restoring Courage’ main event on August 24th, 2011…and it’s the same as the old location! “I'd like to announce today that on 8/24, Restoring Courage is going to be held at the southern steps of the Temple Mount, exactly as planned.” That’s right, Glenn will be holding ‘Restoring Courage’ at the Davidson Center, located at the Southern Wall Excavation site at the Temple Mount.
Glenn said that they decided to keep the event at the original location after consulting with the Chief Rabbi of the Western Wall and All Holy Sites in Israel and building a strong coalition of support.
Glenn emphasized that this decision was reached only after he and his team knew they would not be placing a burden on the city or the country. “We don't want to cause any problems. This is not our country. We're guests of Israel and the last thing we want to do is cause more problems,” he told listeners
Glenn said that immediately after announcing the location change two weeks ago that he felt all the power of the event evaporate, and that he and his team have been working carefully with the appropriate authorities to get permission.
“We appreciate the hard work of everybody in Israel and their trust and we will not disappoint, nor will we do anything that is anything other than uplifting. We understand that this is the most sacred site,” Glenn said.
Glenn asked people to join him in standing with courage, either in Jerusalem at the event or digitally through GBTV, the only network that will be broadcasting ‘Restoring Courage’.
