Glenn's controversial new "Death to Tyranny" shirt is now for sale on Markdown.com! The shirt is the first in the 1791 line, a new clothing label by Glenn Beck, and the net proceeds will help fund Mercury One, Glenn's new non-profit initiative.
The controversy surrounding the shirt started when Glenn unveiled it to GBTV subscribers nearly a week before it was to go on sale. Stu instantly felt their was an issue with the slogan and that Glenn's detractors would try and twist it into something it wasn't.
On Friday, the radio show held a mock trial for the shirt and it's slogan. Glenn argued that not using the "Death to Tyranny" slogan would be another victory for political correctness, while Stu argued for Glenn to not stir up a needless controversy.
Fans voted via The Feed, and they overwhelmingly supported the shirt as it now appears. Apparently, no one wanted to stand with Stu on this one!
