For being one of the smartest people ever, Barack Obama seems to say a lot of idiotic things. A few weeks ago Obama bemoaned modern technology, such as ATM's (really? that's modern?) that make businesses 'more efficient' (as if that's a bad thing) and in turn, use less employees. Well, he doubled down on the ATM complaint AGAIN.
“When I go in factories these days, what's amazing is how clean and how quiet they are,” The President said, “What used to take a thousand folks to do now only takes a hundred folks to do. And one of the challenges in terms of rebuilding our economy is businesses have gotten so efficient that, you know, when was the last time somebody went to a bank teller, instead of using the ATM or –“
“This is not new. He's doing the ATM thing again,” Glenn said. “Six months ago he was blaming the economy on the fact that we're losing bank tellers because of this new fangled ATM machine.”
“Just hold on to your horses and your carriage. You get that buggy out of the garage. Okay? Don't you listen to that new fangled horseless carriage quackery,” Glenn joked.
But at least the economy has gotten better, right?
“We've blamed Barack Obama for a lot of financial woes that we have now,” Glenn said.
But was it really fair to blame him? After all, food stamps and unemployment checks are a stimulus to the economy.
