“I’m going to give a glimpse into the hate-filled left,” Glenn said to open the radio show.
Glenn complained that for too long the mainstream media has ignored for the radicals on the left, and he decided to start the show by calling out two leftists who were using race and class to cause strife and conflict.
“So many people accused me last time of hijacking the 8/28, the day Martin Luther King gave his I have a dream speech,” Glenn said after playing audio of Cornell West audio. In the clip from West he launched into rant about MLK and his stance on American imperialism. Glenn wondered why he was attacked for hijacking 8/28 but no one questions how the left hijacks MLK's person and intent.
But who is Cornell West? “Before we go any further, we need to know who Cornell West is. First of all, he is a very smart guy. He is a professor at Princeton,” Glenn said. “He was a magna cum laude from Harvard. He now teaches in the center for African-American studies…He admired the sincere black militancy of Malcolm X.”
Glenn then played audio of a West on an racist rant filled with the “n word”, which Glenn did not edit because he West should take responsibility for it.
In the rant, West concluded, “You become so scared that you defer to the powers that be, and willing to consent to your own domination.”
“He's using it because he wants to make the point that people can be scared until you are -- you can be intimidated and beaten down, and called names until you just give up. I would ask professor Cornell West if that isn't what the left is currently doing to the Tea Party, and conservatives. Trying to be intimidated, and shouted down, and called names, and I'm not going to use your word, Professor. I'll just use terrorized.”
Glenn then moved onto rapper Lupe Fiasco, who while on a panel with West said, “Because war is terrorism as Howard Zin said. I'm repeating what Howard Zin said. Anybody who participates in war is a terrorist. Anybody that does that is a terrorist. It just happens one of the titles of President is he's the Commander in Chief of the armed forces,” Fiasco said.
“But you're a politician, and you're a great politician and you're a father, and you're a Christian, and you have all those qualities, and attributes. We're the biggest budget is the military budget we are the biggest war machine in the world and if war is terror that means we're the biggest terror machine in the world. And if you're the Commander in Chief you're the biggest terrorist in the world,” Fiasco concluded.
“Now he said - ‘socratically’ - said that the U.S. military budget we spend the most on that. But I don't think that's true if you include all the payments to entitlement programs including social security, and Medicare, and Medicaid,” Pat said. “We sweep that under the rug.”
