"You know why conservatives will win in the end, why small government people, people who believe America will win in the end?" Glenna asked listeners on radio this morning.
"Because we've been challenged over and over and over again."
Glenn used the example of the play Wicked to illustrate his point, explaining that the difficult times create the opportunity for heroism.
"If things weren't upside down in that story, then there wouldn't have been a hero. Spider‑Man. If things weren't upside down, there wouldn't have been a hero. If the King of England would have been a good guy, there wouldn't be George Washington. If we didn't have slavery, there wouldn't be Abraham Lincoln. All these truly great men and women of our ‑‑ of all of human history, we're up against all odds. All odds. This is a time that heroes are being made right now. Heroes. Remember when I said back in, during the Iraq war and I said, you'll know when this is going to take root, and if it takes root, find the man whose face will be on the stamp. Find the man whose face is going to be on the stamp. I got news for ya. In these times, in the next ten years, you will meet a face that will be on stamps. Don't know who it is. Might be you. But someone's face will be on stamps because of these days."
"Extraordinary responsibility. Extraordinary opportunity."
