Bill Kristol - remember him? He's the guy who arrogantly mocked Glenn for warning that maybe the Arab Spring in Egypt wasn't going to end well for Egyptians. He's been proven wildly wrong time and time again - the latest came this weekend when the Egyptian military regime showed how they deal with a bunch of protesters in tents. Pepper spray? No - try bullets and fire. They burned down the tents and killed at least 35 people, according to reports.
During the beginning of the Arab Spring, Kristol said "The Egyptian people have managed to pull off this Democratic peaceful removal of a dictator and they now have a seemingly pretty stable situation. With a guarantee or at least a promise of fair elections and no real sense that those elections are ‑‑ yet that those elections are going to go in some terrible direction. I think this may be a case where normal worldly pessimism is too pessimistic."
"Really this could be a case where somebody is dumb and as dangerous as Bill Kristol still has his job. It could be a case where somebody like that whose policies have taken this country and flushed it down the toilet and people are still listening to this jackass," Glenn said in response.
"That was so stupid. You're so stupid, Glenn. You say such stupid things on the air and people don't tell you how stupid you are often enough," Stu joked.
