Artist creates Obama-as-Jesus poster

The artist swears this poster has nothing to do with comparing Obama to Jesus Christ, despite the fact he has Obama wearing a crown of thorns and in the crucifix position. As offensive as the image is, the artist of course has the right to do it, but will the left afford those they disagree with the same right?

"I mean, you really failed.  And if that's not your intent, you really failed," Glenn said. " Your intent is not to compare him or to make him look like Jesus, but he's got a crown of thorns and he's in the crucifix‑hanging position.

FOX News explains:

A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on a cross is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.

The painting by Michael D'Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called "Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012." It's on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15th.

The painting is called "Truth" – and shows the president on the cross with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.

"He (D'Antuono) said First Amendment rights should override somebody's hurt feelings.  He said he's ‑‑ we should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we're all given the freedom to express ourself.  The crucifixion of the president was metaphorically.  My intent was not to compare him to Jesus," Glenn said.

Glenn said that he actually agreed with D'Antuono that the first amendment should override hurt feelings, and he planned to present his own artwork tonight in order to show his support for the plan. While he was vague on what exactly he planned to do, he did seem to be drinking a lot of water. Tune in tonight to see what he has planned.

Just one day after Hamas’s surprise attack on Israel, which left over 1,400 people Israelis dead, 34 different student groups from Harvard University wrote a joint statement pinning the blame of Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel. While the Universities have not officially backed any of these rallies or student groups that organized them, they haven't stopped them either, which raises the question: should they? On one hand, these are American students in American Universities, who are protected by the First Amendment. On the other hand, history tells us how dangerous antisemitism is if left unchecked; and what of the rights of Jewish students to be safe on the campuses they pay to attend?
