Yesterday, ABC7 Chicago released a fact sheet from the Chicago Police Department on the Homan Square facility. There have been recent claims that the police department is operating a "secretive facility in Homan Square on Chicago's West Side where criminal suspects are denied basic rights." The Chicago Police Department is denying any alleged abuse of suspects, saying the lack of signage on the building is because Homan Square is the "base of operations for officers working undercover assignments."
On Thursday's, the Glenn Beck Program, Glenn had guest Tracy Siska on the show. Siska is the Executive Director of the Chicago Justice Project, and he has been personally following the ongoing situation in Homan's Square for years. According to Siska, the warehouse is a "multiuse" facility where only a portion of the building is "really off-limits to everyone that no reporters have seen, which is where all the special units work out of and where for some reason...they keep taking suspects back to."
When debating why the press has not reported on these atrocities Siska presented a theory that "the press just sides too opften with the police, their morals, their values, the fact that they have to do anything they needed to do to fight urban crime."
