What an amazing night and day of action.
Now let's see what fruit grows.
I spoke to an amazing church this AM. Huge alter call at The Crossing. Lots of people coming to the Lord. Pastor Greg and his team were so wonderful. Very brave church that has dedicated themselves as a church that will take a stand and help save Christians in the Middle East.
Pastors of different faiths were at the afternoon "fireside" at the LDS center. This was a very big deal. Mormons rarely ask, and when they do, the answer is usually no. But this Stake President (like an arch Bishop in Catholic Church) is brave. He is tired of all of us not working to together. He is trying to wake his own people up to God's call of "listen and take action."
I don't know how you didn't feel the spirit at either of these events.
I am hoping that great fruit is grown. No one mixing theologies, everyone remains distinct but coming together on the things they can stand together on.
I don't agree with the Pope on many things, but the Catholics lead the way on pro-life. I will stand with them as they lead the charge. Why reinvent the wheel!?
Who is leading the way to save the Christians from Iraq? We are the leading charity (I think) but if not, let's join forces.
Who is leading in Unity? So far it is Pastor Lowe at a black Baptist church in Birmingham. I know this LDS stake wants to join him. Now let's get the rabbis to join too.
It is time!
The body of Christ is coming together.
We can hate each other and die or come together, each unique and live.
Choose today: life and light or death and darkness.
I choose any man or faith that stands boldly with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Thank you Tampa!
Which city will be next? Which group of churches will be brave enough to have a interdenominational conference to stand on common ground for common goals?
Let me know. We will be there.
