As I prepare for tomorrow's radio and TV show, I am reading the news and trying to decide what I should say to you tomorrow.
I have a team within 100 meters of ISIS on the front lines tonight.
Mercury One has teams working in many different countries in the Middle East, South America and Europe, trying to get them to accept Christians who are being targeted for death by people who are worse than the Nazi scourge of the 20th century.
Russia is filling the power vacuum in the Middle East. Our presidential candidates are a side show. A socialist has doubled the Obama crowds in '08. We funded abortions last week. People in South Carolina are suffering. Europe is under siege. Jerusalem is under attack tonight. Our financial system is in far worse shape than it was in 2008 and I for one am still in shock from what happened in Oregon last week.
No one seems to notice that we are in grave danger. No one in the Christian world is really waking to the reality of their own situation. The kid with the clock gets a White House invite and the press made him into a kid persecuted for his religious belief.
But when college kids are asked if they are Christian and if they answer "yes," they are executed, the media yawns. Worse yet, our friends and even fellow Christians will ask: "what persecution?"
What do I say to those people? How does one wake up a people refusing to wake. What happens to those who become the target themselves because they refuse to sit down and remain quiet?
I only know the answer to the last question. What happens to those who refuse to sit down?
If they have love in their hearts - they change the world.
Please join me on my journey to become the person we were sent here to be. I no longer know how the world defines the word Christian, but I believe it starts with those who demonstrate a fierce and active love.
This week I will introduce an idea we are calling "take a walk." More on that in the next few days.
Tonight, I want to leave you with a note from one of my producers to his Facebook friends.
-------
This is a time for Christians, ALL Christians to stand... This should be another defining moment for our faith and our generation in this country.
Persecution has yet happened again like it has in the past where the enemy calls out Christians to stand and instead of backing down and sitting down they stood up with strength and honor.
They stood and died for our faith. They are Christian martyrs. Our brothers and sisters were murdered this past week for standing up for their faith.
All the while, the media tells the stories of those Christians under their breath and in a passing comment or quick story. The media then gets right back to who this shooter (the enemy) was.
We as a nation are too focused on the enemy and not focused on the heroes.
We as a nation are reporting on the "persecution" of an Islamic kid who brings in a clock that looks like a bomb and he gets a presidential invite. But when it comes to the persecution of Christians who were targeted and murdered all we get is a quick headline and then the MSM goes silent.
So the question for us is who are we?
WE ARE CHRISTIANS!
We act when God says act, we move when God says move, we stand when God says stand, and we love when God says love... Are we going to do something? Or are we going to sit and watch as this gets worse?
I want to see all Christians ready for what is to come. I want to be like those in Oregon who, when called upon to answer the question, "Are you a Christian or not?" said, "Yes, I am a Christian."
How do you get to that point?
Pray, read and study God's Word. Understand and learn who God is! Learn His attributes. Learn that we are warned multiple times in the Bible that these times would come.
We are there, people, and it's only going to get worse.
The fights are coming... But, we will fight back like Christ fought, with LOVE.
This is a time where Sauls become Pauls.
This is a time where heroes are pointed out. This is the time to rise as a faithful child of God who is willing to give up everything for HIM.
Check your heart, ask God to cleanse your soul and clean it out of any impurities and then wait and listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say.
Stop saying, "I am messed up and I'm working on getting better." I'm sorry, but the "working" time is over!
The time has come to change!
