Last Friday, Glenn left the studios early to embark on a life-changing journey across the Middle East and Europe. Joined by team members from The Nazarene Fund on a mission to save Christians, Glenn's travels were fraught with uncertainty and risk --- both for Glenn's team and the Christians they were trying to save.
After a week of traveling, Glenn returned to his radio program Monday to recount some of the harrowing moments, including a call he received from his security team on Friday that nearly derailed the entire effort.
"Phone rings --- I'm in a hotel," Glenn said. "It's my security chief, and he says, 'Glenn, I don't know if you should go. I just want to make you're aware that they [ISIS] have targeted specifically the mass that you guys are going to be at with a vehicle IED. They're going to blow everybody up. And any survivors, they're going to behead.'"
Listen to more of Glenn's recap from the program, beginning at marker 6:00.
