Mercury One kicked off the holidays the right way --- with thankful hearts and a good time --- at the nonprofit's annual fundraiser on Saturday night. For those unable to attend, here are some highlights of the event.
In true Texas style, the gang participated in a highly anticipated armadillo race. Somehow, Jeffy managed to leave the rest of the field in his rather large cloud of dust. While the others struggled to get their armadillos to move forward, Jeffy cheated his way to the trophy. So typical. Watch the madness below:
It wouldn't be a Mercury event if the big guy didn't grab the mic for a while. And no, that wasn't Santa Claus. Watch Glenn address the staff and donors with an update on the many things Mercury One was able to accomplish this year with the generous support of donors.
Aaron Watson has become a great friend of the program and managed to reach the top of the charts without ever signing with a record label. Watson favored attendees with a terrific performance Saturday night.
Chuck Norris and his wife Gena were gracious enough to co-host the event with the Becks. How can you have Chuck "freaking" Norris at your event and not take full advantage of the opportunity?
Glenn and his staff rigged up the most lethal weapon known to man --- an AR-15 with a USA Today inspired Chuck Norris attachment. Literally, they strapped Chuck into a helmet and attached him to a rifle. Check out the photos below.
