Glenn Beck: Leftist host leaves Dems live on air

WGAN Morning News with Ken & Mike

GLENN: Yeah, yeah. So Ken actually, his daughter, Amy, works for me in New York. She's at CNN, and she is absolutely fantastic. I just absolutely love her to death. She is a keeper. I think she was a pivot point quite honestly on the television program, but I just love her to death. You know, she's a Clinton supporter. She has explained your position in life as a socialist, Ken.

ALTSHULER: She compliments me too much.

GLENN: I know. But you and I were having an interesting conversation today because I couldn't believe this. You are a guy who, you really are, you know, you believe in the socialized world and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You are not for Barack Obama, and we actually agree on why. Will you explain it?

ALTSHULER: I will. Not only am I not for him, I will not vote for him. And I won't vote for him and I won't support him because number one, I don't know who he is. He is absolutely

GLENN: What do you mean by that?

ALTSHULER: He is an unknown quantity. He has done very little votes, he has stood for very little positions. He talks in platitudes. He talked in hope and change without substance. So we don't know who he is. In addition to that, we do know some things about who he surrounds himself with. There's a reverend named Reverend Wright who is a racist. This is his spiritual advisor. He has a wife who by my point of view is militant, is angry. And I believe the people running his campaign who will run the government if he's elected have a hidden agenda. I'm not sure what it is but I don't think I like it.

GLENN: Okay, hang on just a second. Why do you say his because when you said that, my mouth was on the floor today. We're on the air together today and you say that and I thought, my gosh, Ken, you've got to check yourself into a hospital right away because we agree. I think his wife is frightening. She is really, truly a militant in my point of view. Why do you say that?

ALTSHULER: Well, let's look at what we know about her. She started out talking about such things as this is the first time I'm proud to be an American. That is classic frankly militant African American jargon for saying finally we are getting our day in court, we're getting our day in the spotlight.

GLENN: So wait a minute. Hang on just a second. I just assumed that because you were a liberal, you weren't a racist, but now I understand you're a racist.

ALTSHULER: Oh, that's right. I'm not supposed to criticize any African American. I apologize. How could I be see, and that is the classic. The minute you criticize this man, you are a racist. There's no valid criticism and that's why I am going to tell you if it be President Barack Obama come November 4th.

GLENN: You do believe he is going to win?

ALTSHULER: I believe that John McCain doesn't have a chance because wait, now sit down for this one, Mr. Beck. The liberal media bias will coast him into office because

GLENN: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Just hang on. Will somebody please check for pods. Ken is missing. Wait a minute. You, you know, Sam the socialist is telling me it's the liberal media bias that is going to get Barack Obama elected?

ALTSHULER: The media decided the minute he ran that he was the next President, and they have actively campaigned for him since day one. They absolutely destroyed any chance Hillary Clinton had. She helped herself a little bit. They destroyed the campaign, they will do the same thing with John McCain and you can have all the Karl Roves you want, but you can't touch that man.

GLENN: So Ken, how do you how do you put this together in your head? How do you look at this because your world, this is the world that I expected, the liberal media bias, I expected this. I expected the political correctness. I expected radicals. I mean, I've been saying this for years. Democrats, you've got to wake up because you have absolute radicals in your ranks. When you're dealing with people like Michael Moore and you are putting them in a presidential box at the convention with the other radical Jimmy Carter. When you are putting these two people together, the enemy is with inside the gates and they have destroyed the Democratic party. So I expected this. Did you?

ALTSHULER: I did not and I must say there were hints of it as early as George McGovern in 1972. I actually thought that the Democratic party at some point could become a cohesive unit. Mr. Beck, I am prepared on the show to withdraw from the Democratic party and become an independent because I cannot belong to a party that can't think independently and choose somebody who can lead our country instead of going with this hope and change without any substance.

GLENN: Okay. Go ahead. Let's go ahead. Because in Maine, in Portland, Ken withdrawing from the Democratic party? Go ahead, go ahead.

ALTSHULER: Remember, most good Democrats, and there are some out there, we are willows, Mr. Beck. We can bend. We are flexible. We go issue by issue, and there are some issues I agree with, the mainstream

GLENN: This doesn't sound like you are officially withdrawing from the Democratic party.

ALTSHULER: I am officially withdrawing because this party no longer represents me. They have drank the Kool Aid, they are going with what the media tells them will make them feel comfortable. They are feeling they are drinking the Kool Aid of white guilt, which is what's propelling Barack Obama into the presidency. I can't drink that Kool Aid.

GLENN: Now, how much of this is just you're pissed off because your candidate didn't win?

ALTSHULER: You know, Hillary

GLENN: Oh, wow, listen to that.

ALTSHULER: Hillary, Hillary lost the election for a number of reasons. Number one, it was the worst run campaign in the history of American politics. Nobody accounted for the fact that all of a sudden the people were going to hate Bill Clinton. Also, the strategy of going to the big state, ignoring the caucuses, having no campaign strategy, this was a failed strategy. She deserves to lose. However, that being said I could still get behind a candidate who is an independent thinker, who will decide issue by issue and then look at a comprehensive picture of American politics. Barack Obama, I must tell you, may be that man. I just don't know that. He needs to have a proven track record.

GLENN: Is there anything that he could say before the election that would that would make you go, you know what, I'm going to go for Barack Obama?

ALTSHULER: Yes. He could say I've decided I'm not experienced enough; I'm going to stay in the Senate for six more years and then I'll run again and then you'll know who I am and then you can vote for me.

ALTSHULER: All right. That's not going to happen.

ALTSHULER: I know it's not going to happen.

GLENN: It's just like a liberal to come up with some plan like that. By the way, you're in usual company here. Katie Couric said, "However you feel about Hillary Clinton's politics, I feel that Senator Clinton received some of the most unfair, hostile coverage I've ever seen."

ALTSHULER: There's no doubt that that's true and I don't know if it's because she's Hillary Clinton and I must tell you I think there was some gender bias involved as well, but I think Hillary, Hillary self destructed and I think there's nobody to blame but herself.

GLENN: Ken, look. This came as a surprise to you guys. Can you talk to somebody here? As a guy who this didn't come as a surprise to that the media is like this, may I explain it to you?

ALTSHULER: Please.

GLENN: Here's what happened. There's no gender bias here. The people in the media are so uber left, they pick their candidate and then it doesn't matter what the truth is. It doesn't matter who the person is running. It doesn't matter. They will throw anybody under the bus. They will do whatever they have to do to get their guy elected. That's the way it is. So it doesn't matter that it was Hillary Clinton. Doesn't matter. Could have been a guy.

Look what they did to Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney, all of a sudden his religion was such a big deal. Why was it such a big deal? How come Mike Huckabee's religion wasn't a big deal? How come the religion of Barack Obama is not such a big deal? They did it because they knew that Mitt Romney had to be taken out. They wanted John McCain.

ALTSHULER: Glenn, I can't believe this. For the second time today you are 100% correct.

GLENN: This is you know what? Prepare yourself for the end of the world. It is coming.

ALTSHULER: Now, the other thing you haven't asked me is since I'm not going to vote for Barack Obama, who am I going to vote for?

GLENN: I don't know if I

ALTSHULER: I am considering, I am considering of writing in the name of Mr. Unelectable Glenn Beck.

GLENN: Yeah, well, there you go, see? There you go. You know what? I think you'll actually like tonight's show.

ALTSHULER: I'm going to love tonight's show. I must tell you I have heard the ravest reviews. I hear it's the funniest show on Earth. I can't wait to watch it.

GLENN: Your brother, where did your brother go to see the show?

ALTSHULER: Oklahoma City. He was in the front row. Now, I must tell you he is a little on the conservative side. So I excuse that part of him. But he said your show was outstanding. But I expect nothing less of you.

GLENN: What?

ALTSHULER: I expect nothing less of Mr. Glenn Beck.

GLENN: Well, I don't know how your daughter became right thinking, but

ALTSHULER: I taught her well.

GLENN: I mean, she is not right thinking but she's at least normal.

ALTSHULER: She's left thinking.

GLENN: She's left thinking but she's not like you. Yeah, and what I'm trying to do, honestly I'm just deprogramming liberals one at a time. So as soon as I get her over to the bright side and away from the dark side, then she can move on to another and I'll bring in another liberal and we'll deprogram them, too.

ALTSHULER: Glenn, whatever you say, I offset.

GLENN: Thanks a lot, Ken. That's Ken from the morning show. Mike and Ken here on WGAN.

Glenn Beck joined Fox News' Tucker Carlson on Thursday night to discuss Visa Inc.'s "horrifying" new plans to flag firearm sales by separately categorizing purchases at gun shops, a move that Glenn aptly described as "the next step in banning guns."

In what's been hailed as a major victory for gun control activists, Visa agreed to adopt the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) new set of standards by creating a special merchant category code for gun and ammunition sales.

In his appearance on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Glenn shared a letter written by Robert B. Thomson III, a senior vice president at Visa, showing that the credit card company initially pushed back on the ISO's new rules.

“We believe that asking payment networks to serve as a moral authority by deciding which legal goods can or cannot be purchased sets a dangerous precedent,” Thomson wrote in the letter to pro-gun-control lawmakers, including Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.

Just days later, however, Visa had agreed to comply with the ISO's plan to establish a new merchant category code for gun stores. So why did Visa suddenly flip?

As Glenn explained, it all comes down to pressure from America's largest union-owned bank, the Amalgamated Bank, one of the only unionized banks in the United States and a proud proponent of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing.

"This is the next step in banning guns," Glenn asserted.

"It's horrifying!" Tucker responded after several seconds of stunned silence.

"I'm so grateful you did the reporting on this," he told Glenn. "I'm not sure why it falls to you since we have a couple of very large daily newspapers in this country you'd think would want to report this, yet none of them did. So, Glenn Beck did."

On a recent episode of "The Glenn Beck Program," Glenn broke down the details of this latest attack on the Second Amendment and revealed how this is a step toward something even worse than federal gun registration. Glenn Beck: Here's why Stacey Abrams' fetal heartbeat remarks are hilarious but TERRIFYING

Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has a new pro-abortion conspiracy theory: "There is no such thing as a [fetal] heartbeat at six weeks ... it is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have a right to take control of a woman’s body."

On the radio program Thursday, Glenn Beck and producer Stu Burguiere agreed Abrams' latest "misinformation" is not just ridiculous but could be dangerous if people are actually willing to believe her.

"If you want to defend abortion, go ahead and defend it. Defend what you're actually doing. Stop denying what is reality," Stu said. "If this is such a great defensible policy, then just come out and defend it, but they never can ... you notice how they can't go to the actual thing they say is so important. They keep defending these other things that aren't true."

Glenn said the pro-choice movement was successful for a long time because most people want the decision to be up to the woman and her doctor and that abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. But when leftists began "celebrating" their abortions or calling for "abortion on demand" at any point in the pregnancy, that's when they start to lose support.

"Because they've celebrated abortion and are losing regular people, you can't put that genie back in the bottle. So, what do they have to do now? They have to take the insane step of discrediting medical machines and technology," Glenn said.

"This is after two years, by the way, of them claiming the biggest scandal in the world was people suggesting the voting machines were hacked — after they previously said that voting machines were hacked in elections they [Democrats] lost," Stu pointed out.

"Honestly, gang, think this through because this is where life gets very scary. This is where you go to authoritarian rule and you can kill millions of people because you're truly now discrediting things that everyone knows is true," Glenn warned.

"So, if you disagree ... you can say that is an evil magic box that has made up sounds in it to convince people. If they will buy that, you're at the Salem witch trials. 'If she doesn't float, she wasn't a witch.' That's what you're looking at right now — and what's frightening is, [Abrams] can say this with a straight face and no one discredits her," he continued.

"You don't think that they can convince those people that you are a terrorist because of the way you vote? [...] You don't think they can convince half the country that you should be eliminated, liquidated, put into a camp, whatever authoritarians love to do? ... We are headed towards dangerous, dangerous times. We better wake up and stand together because this is frightening — it's hilarious — but because people are taking it seriously, it is terrifying," Glenn added.

A big question Glenn Beck has always had about “The Amazing Do-Over” is: How do you get the most powerful and wealthy nation that has ever existed to accept, “You will own nothing … and be happy”? A foundational principle of this country from its very inception has been land ownership. We worked hard, were fiscally responsible, and stayed away from high debt, but the progressive era began to erode all of that.

The Clinton Global Initiative recently gathered the ruling class to tell the plebes how to run their finances and called anyone who dared challenge their ideas “climate change deniers.” Glenn argues we are dangerously far down the “Road to Serfdom” and exposes the progressive playbook to keep us in line. It’s a 600-year-old medieval model that’s been the plan all along.

We’re already feeling economic pain, and yet they’re playing “Game of Thrones” with our lives. Turning us into serfs is their ultimate goal. How do they finish the complete restructuring of the American financial system and our way of life?

On Wednesday night's "Glenn TV," Glenn connects it all on the chalkboard and details the solution to fighting back against the ruling elites.

These days, it seems like everything is about politics, and comedy has been one of the biggest targets. Many comedians are walking on eggshells, but stand-up comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum Jim Breuer isn't one of them.

Breuer joined Glenn on the latest episode of "The Glenn Beck Podcast" to talk about why he’d rather be funny than fearful and what inspired his hilarious comedy special, “Somebody Had to Say It," which has garnered almost 1.5 million views as of this writing.

Breuer made it clear that he does not consider himself to be political. "I'm not. I'm 100% not [political]," he told Glenn, before explaining how people started calling him political when he dared to ask questions about a certain shot that we're not allowed to mention, let alone question.

"When did medicine become political?" Breuer asked.

"What kind of price have you paid for being called political?" Glenn asked Breuer.

"To be dead honest with you, once COVID really kicked in, and ... once you realize we're not going to be here, that we're on borrowed time, and I do have God in my life ... you come to terms with reality on a deeper level. And when COVID kicked in, I said, 'You know what? All bets are off.' I already knew I wasn't in control. But now, not only am I not in control from the natural order of life, but now the puppet masters ... are in control," Breuer answered.

"It made me realize I don't have time to worry about what people think of me. I know where I'm at in life. I know where I'm at spiritually. I know where I'm at with my family," he added.

"That's tremendous power," Glenn said. "But it spooks the hell out of people."

"But it shouldn't!" Breuer exclaimed. "I'm excited that other people get this ... but they're stuck. We ain't got time for stuck. To me, this is the time of, 'You gotta rise.' For years and years and years, you allow fear to control your life. Fear of dying. Fear I might get sick ... everything's based out of fear. It's time for the fearless."

Breuer also revealed his secret for dealing with tough times, and he’s seen his share. But he also said he's seen miracles, including the incredible (and hilariously told) story of how he found faith, how God saved his marriage, and why one family friend was convinced his wife belonged to a cult.
