GLENN: First of all, give me what he said. Do you have which cuts do you have here, Dan? Do you have the missile cut? Listen to what he said. He's talking about how Russia is not fighting the Georgians. They are sending a message to us and the West through Georgia. Listen to this as he talks about the Russian missiles that are falling on this country. Georgia small country, if it were being butchered for the fact that close to the United States. You know the bombs, they have been thrown on our people killing hundreds of people for the last few days, I'm afraid to say thousands but hundreds at least. I hope it will not be thousands. You know they had inscription on them, this is for America, this is for NATO, this is for Bush. I told President Bush about it today, by the way. So it's all Russians are fighting war not with us at this stage. They are fighting war with the idea. They want to kill idea of freedom and by proxy. They imagine they fight war with the United States.
GLENN: Okay. Here's some of the other things that he said. First of all, again they are signing the missiles. Do you remember when we did that to Saddam? Remember when we did that to Osama Bin Laden? They are not fighting it with us with them. They are fighting it with us. They are fighting a war with the West. This is something that, you know and how many times have I had a fiction writer on recently and I've been saying now in fact, I just said it. Who was it, Daniel Silva? By the way, I'm reading Ted Bell's new book called czar. This is the story which is coming out in, I don't know, about a month or so. These fiction guys have it. If you want to see what's coming on the horizon, all you have to do is pay attention to the news. But then also look at the aisles of the fiction because these fiction authors are looking at what are possible scenarios and what's coming and especially when you see all of them coalesce. There's most of these that are out right now. All of the top sellers, they are all about Russia and they are thinly disguising Vladimir Putin and it's all about oil and it's about Putin and it's about controlling the West and it's also about their ties to the Middle East. It's been coming now and people haven't been paying attention. Meanwhile George Bush is like, oh, yeah, I look into his eyes, I think I hear the theme from Love Story. He's just so fabulous, I almost kissed him. No, I admit it. I looked into his eyes and I saw true love and I almost vivid him. I said, Vlad, may I call you Vlad? He said, sure, call me Vlad. "I just love you. By the way, Vlad, why do I know that name?" "Nothing to do with the impaler, blood." So now we're in this situation. So now what do we do? Well, I asked the president of Georgia last night, tell me why, tell me why America should pay any attention. Here's some more of our conversation.
SAAKASHVILI: America for us is a symbol of freedom worldwide. I grew up with ideals that America I grew up in Soviet communist society until the age of 20. I know I, for me, for my old, early childhood America was a dreamland. America was a place from which all the bright ideas came. America was the place which was great inspiration for me to raise my child. And then when Soviet Union collapsed, when the Cold War was over, when I went to study in the U.S. and finally I realized my dream, I never thought that this evil would come back again. I never thought the KGB people would again try to run the world. And that's exactly what's happening now. This is worst nightmare coming true. And what's at stake here is America's ideals. If freedom collapses in Georgia, it will collapse in both the countries, in other places as well.
GLENN: That is the important part for us to understand and realize. And I'm not saying I mean, jeez. I was concerned two years ago or three years ago when Iran began to align itself with Russia and Russia with Iran. This is just the continuation of that. That's what this is. This is the setting up of the axis power, the real axis power, and we have to pay attention to this because when Israel and notice I use the word "When." When Israel strikes Iran, the world is going to be set on fire and you're going to have to choose sides, and Russia has chosen their side. It is Iran. I truly believe out of arrogance and KGB evil that Russia believes they can keep this Muslim extremist genie in a bottle. They are playing a very dangerous game and they are choking off the power of Europe, and Europe is typical Europe. They are a bunch of wusses that can never stand up and never will stand up. And now they've put themselves in a situation to where they're not going to have any heat this winter if they cross Russia because they're a slave to their pipeline. I'm tired of being the world's policeman, man. I am tired of it. But it's important for people to understand what Georgia is really all about and what role it plays. This is Hungary, this is Austria, this is the arch Duke Ferdinand moment possibly, that it starts in one of those places and you are like, what the heck, what? Why would I care about Czechoslovakia, what? And then all of a sudden, boom, here it is. It is definitely, I hope it's not the beginning of something. I hope everything backs off. I doubt it, but I hope everything backs off and it is resolved, not just held in place. But it's resolved. But I will bet you that we'll all try to pat ourselves on the shoulders and say, no, it's okay now, it's okay, it's okay, and we'll back off and everybody will forget about it. But it has planted the seed for Russia's next move. What that move is I don't know, but it's planted the seed for the and the ability for the next move because they know the West is crippled and paralyzed against them and they won't want to do anything. You know there are some days that you just wake up and go, jeez, I am glad I'm not the President of the United States. Would you ever want this job? Can you imagine? Look at what the President, and I know this is a reason I said to my wife last night, I said this might depending on how this plays out, this might be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me which John McCain because imagine being the President of the United States with all of the things that are going on, all of the enemies that we have, with Venezuela and Iran and Islamic extremism and Russia. All of the things that are happening. Can you imagine getting up and just being like, oh, crap, what? You're kidding me, right? I don't have an answer, Jack! Call on somebody else! At least that's the way I'd be. That's why, you know, I'd never be elected President and wouldn't ever run for President. But it would I hope some point it makes all of us kind of look at it and go, shew. Maybe that experience thing, maybe I've been playing in the international community for a while, I know who these people are, I know how they play, I can look in the eyes of a former KGB agent and go, evil. Maybe that is important. Maybe. You decide.
