Glenn Beck: ObamaCare vote THIS WEEKEND

GLENN: Oh, my gosh. I'm just, I'm watching the dismantling of my country.

PAT: Yeah. And you know what else? After this vote on Sunday, first thing they are going to do Monday morning? Start in on immigration. Comprehensive reform, which is a bill that was cooked up by Chucky Schumer and guess who?

GLENN: Lindsey Graham.

PAT: Lindsey Graham, your favorite.

GLENN: Lindsey Graham, I'm going to show a little chart tonight. I'll show you, explain the Overton window and how Lindsey Graham is Lindsey Graham and any Republican like Lindsey Graham, this is just going to make the tea party more strong and more valid. You need real conservatives, not Lindsey Graham. Because Lindsey Graham, to dismantle this thing, you'll never get this out of the bloodstream unless you completely reset now. This won't and if you get somebody who's like Lindsey Graham in there, he will say, "Well, now let's not be crazy. There are some good things in this bill that we need." No. And so you'll negotiate yourself into a smaller version with all of with the IRS, with the IRS. How long ago did I talk to you about prohibition and say and I told you then progressives always tip their hand about control and power because they did it with prohibition. Why was the treasury department in charge of prohibition instead of the FBI? The same reason why the IRS is in charge. That is the treasury department. The IRS is under the treasury department. Because it was about money and control and power. The same reason this is. You are expanding the control of the IRS, now into your healthcare. Oh, my gosh. What, are we suicidal? Mike Pence is on the phone from Washington. Congressman Pence, how are you, sir?

Pence: "America, We Can Win This Fight"

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: I'm great, Glenn. Thanks for all you're doing. It's providing an extraordinary amount of air cover to those of us in the trenches and we couldn't be more grateful.

GLENN: Well, I tell you, you know, congressman, I'm not a Republican but, you know, we've got to, we've got to recognize when the Republicans are out there and they're doing the right thing, and you will guarantee that there's not a single Republican that's going to vote for this, right?

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Well, you know, I'm not in the business of guaranteeing anybody's vote but mine, but I'll tell you right now I am confident that no Republican will vote for this government takeover of healthcare, public funding for abortion, massive taxes and mandates on individuals, you bet.

GLENN: What is it that America should know about being able to stop this thing? Is there any way to stop this? It's a freight train to hell.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Well, look, I just, I went to the floor yesterday and

GLENN: We just played it. We just played your audio.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Well, thank you. I'm grateful for that. I just don't want people to win this thing. They don't have the votes. And particularly millions of listeners and many more millions of viewers around the country, you know, people need to know particularly from Pennsylvania and Ohio and Indiana that their members of congress hold the keys whether or not we are going to send our country on the pathway toward socialized medicine or whether we are going to reject this approach and go right back to work on healthcare reform that will lower the cost of health insurance without growing the size of government.

GLENN: Okay.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana. This thing is not done yet. I know they set the timer on it, like egg timer on the oven. But that's meaningless. The reason the president didn't delay his trip, he cancelled his trip, is because they are not there yet, and I believe we can still win this thing if the American people will continue through the weekend to let their voice be heard.

GLENN: Okay. So how many people do you think it would take to put on the mall before people would pay attention inside the capitol? And can you give me two or three congressmen that you think you could hold if you had people in the local districts going to their local offices and just surrounding the building and saying and peacefully just sitting down and saying, we ain't leaving until this guy comes back because we want to have a we're having a talking with him.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Yeah. Well, let me tell you the best place to go to find out information on how to contact and who to contact is Code Red. We have the national congressional committee that is doing realtime information and providing contact information. Easily find it on the web, Glenn. I mean, over 200,000 people have been going there and taking action. Just look for Code Red on the Internet.

GLENN: I'm there now.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: We know the names, Jason Altmire in Indiana, my beloved Indiana. You've got people like Brad Ellsworth and Baron Hill that are still undecided but, you know, I know there's going to be a lot of folks in Washington D.C. tomorrow. I think that helps a bunch, but I'll tell you the most powerful thing is when a member of congress hears from one of their own constituents and that's why I say to people in these key districts. And if people don't know in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana who the folks are or whether they serve them, you can go to Code Red and find out or, you know, just check it out. I'm sure it's all over the news in their district. But letting your own congressmen know, a Democratic congressman who is on the target list is the most effective, the most powerful means of turning this thing around. And I tell you, I just think we can turn it around. I think if many people contact their members of congress and say we don't want a government takeover of healthcare, we don't want individual mandates, massive taxes, public funding of abortion, and we're going to hold you accountable on election day if you facilitate this is, it can work. The American people are still in charge around here, Glenn, as you've preached every day on the airwaves of this country.

GLENN: Mike, help me out with this. We have two congressmen who have now flipped their vote. They are from California. In a completely unrelated story, those two districts in California in an early announcement, they have been told now by the federal government that they are going to receive 25% more water

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Yeah.

GLENN: for their districts. If this isn't using water as a weapon, I don't know what is. This is one of the most hair raising, terrifying pieces of information I think I've ever seen.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Well, at least you can see it, Glenn. I mean, and number one, look. Water was already being used as a weapon out there. I'm glad to see the Feds are going to turn the spit on out there comparatively do it.

GLENN: But what they are doing is

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: But what they are doing here, the horse trading they are doing is so unseemly, so offensive. But my point, at least you can see it, Glenn. I called on Speaker Pelosi two days ago to reveal all the back room deals that have been made on this. It is probably a mountain range of earmarks that have been piled high on bills that won't be passed for months or years in connection with getting this done.

GLENN: I said and Bill O'Reilly, this is a year ago and Bill O'Reilly said, oh, that's crazy. I said when this comes undone, this is going to make Watergate look like a picnic. This is going to be the biggest government scandal in the history of our government. Would you agree with that?

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: I just believe that this is the most massive expansion of the federal government in our lifetime and the result of expanding government power that deeply into the lives of Americans and businesses and healthcare decisions and healthcare providers is going to bring all the waste and the fraud and the abuse and the corruption that big government always does.

GLENN: But there's a difference between the regular kind of fraud. I mean, you know, we're used to that. We're now talking about we're not talking about using water, water, life saving water to grow food, as a weapon. That is so that's so far past the line of evil, it's I mean, I don't even recognize a government that does that.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Well, that issue out there was just mind boggling. Devon menace who is a conservative congressman from California has been championing that issue for months trying on one bill after another to get the water flowing and it's amazing that the Feds held that back now. As you said according to news reports, the deal is now done and we're sure it had nothing whatsoever to do

GLENN: Oh, yeah.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: with getting healthcare reform passed.

GLENN: I'm sure of it. Congressman Pence, you keep fighting, brother. There are millions of people that are praying for you and everybody else who's standing against it, whether they voted for you or not. You are in America's prayers today because I think it's going to take the finger of God to be able to turn this thing around.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Glenn, we rely on prayer. And I just, I just encourage people to pray and to act and continue, whether through the weekend. You know, Sunday's the Lord's day at my house, but I'm going to be working this Sunday and we need people just to stay on it, stay after it, reach out to their members of congress because America, we can win this thing.

GLENN: Mike Pence, thank you very much, sir. I appreciate your time.

CONGRESSMAN PENCE: Thank you, Glenn.

GLENN: God bless you this weekend. You bet, bye bye.

Acclaimed environmentalist and author of "Apocalypse Never" Michael Shellenberger joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to warn us about the true goals and effects of climate alarmism: It's become a "secular religion" that lowers standards of living in developed countries, holds developing countries back, and has environmental progress "exactly wrong."

Michael is a Time "Hero of the Environment," Green Book Award winner, and the founder and president of Environmental Progress. He has been called a "environmental guru," "climate guru," "North America's leading public intellectual on clean energy," and "high priest" of the environmental humanist movement for his writings and TED talks, which have been viewed more than 5 million times. But when Michael penned a stunning article in Forbes saying, "On Behalf of Environmentalists, I Apologize for the Climate Scare", the article was pulled just a few hours later. (Read more here.)

On the show, Micheal talked about how environmental alarmism has overtaken scientific fact, leading to a number of unfortunate consequences. He said one of the problems is that rich nations are blocking poor nations from being able to industrialize. Instead, they are seeking to make poverty sustainable, rather than to make poverty history.

"As a cultural anthropologist, I've been traveling to poorer countries and interviewing small farmers for over 30 years. And, obviously there are a lot of causes why countries are poor, but there's no reason we should be helping them to stay poor," Michael said. "A few years ago, there was a movement to make poverty history ... [but] it got taken over by the climate alarmist movement, which has been focused on depriving poor countries, not just of fossil fuels they need to develop, but also the large hydroelectric dams."

He offered the example of the Congo, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Congo has been denied the resources needed to build large hydroelectric dams, which are absolutely essential to pull people out of poverty. And one of the main groups preventing poor countries from the gaining financing they need to to build dams is based in Berkeley, California — a city that gets its electricity from hydroelectric dams.

"It's just unconscionable ... there are major groups, including the Sierra Club, that support efforts to deprive poor countries of energy. And, honestly, they've taken over the World Bank [which] used to fund the basics of development: roads, electricity, sewage systems, flood control, dams," Micheal said.

"Environmentalism, apocalyptic environmentalism in particular, has become the dominant religion of supposedly secular people in the West. So, you know, it's people at the United Nations. It's people that are in very powerful positions who are trying to impose 'nature's order' on societies," he continued. "And, of course, the problem is that nobody can figure out what nature is, and what it's not. That's not a particular good basis for organizing your economy."

Dr. Voddie Baucham, Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia, joined Glenn Beck on the radio program to explain why he agrees with Vice President Mike Pence's refusal to say the phrase "Black Lives Matter."

Baucham, who recently drew national attention when his sermon titled "Ethnic Gnosticism" resurfaced online, said the phrase has been trademarked by a dangerous, violent, Marxist movement that doesn't care about black lives except to use them as political pawns.

"We have to separate this movement from the issues," Baucham warned. "I know that [Black Lives Matter] is a phrase that is part of an organization. It is a trademark phrase. And it's a phrase designed to use black people.

"That phrase dehumanizes black people, because it makes them pawns in a game that has nothing whatsoever to do with black people and their dignity. And has everything to do with a divisive agenda that is bigger than black people. That's why I'm not going to use that phrase, because I love black people. I love being black."

Baucham warned that Black Lives Matter -- a radical Marxist movement -- is using black people and communities to push a dangerous and divisive narrative. He encouraged Americans to educate themselves on the organization's agenda and belief statement.

"This movement is dangerous. This movement is vicious. And this movement uses black people," he emphasized. "And so if I'm really concerned about issues in the black community -- and I am -- then I have to refuse, and I have to repudiate that organization. Because they stand against that for which I am advocating."

On last week's Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck revealed where the Black Lives Matter organization really gets its funding, and the dark money trail leading to a cast of familiar characters. Shortly after the program aired, one of BLM's fiscal sponsors, Thousand Currents, took down its board of directors page, which featured one of these shady characters:

Ex-Marxist professor and author of "Beyond Woke," Michael Rectenwald, joined Glenn Beck on the TV show to fill us in on the suspicious change he discovered on the Thousand Currents webpage and the Communist terrorists who is now helping run the organization. (Fortunately, the internet is forever, so it is still possible to view the board of directors page by looking at a web archive from the WayBack Machine.)

Rectenwald revealed the shocking life history of Thousand Currents' vice chair of the board, Susan Rosenberg, who spent 16 years in federal prison for her part in a series of increasingly violent acts of terrorism, including bombing the U.S. Capitol building, bombing an FBI building, and targeting police for assassination.

"Their whole campaign was one of unbelievably vicious, murderous cop killings, assassinations, and bombings," explained Rectenwald of Rosenberg's terror group known as the May 19th Communist Organization or M19.
