GLENN: I mean, huge, massive corner. People just bowing down as this
gentleman walks through the hallway. "Could I get you something, sir? Do you
need anything? Do you need anything, sir? What can I do for you today, sir? You
are a god, sir." That's what is said to him, whispered in the hallways as this
man walks down the hallway. And yet he can't find his way down about a block to
these studios. He has somebody, an assistant most likely, an assistant to the
assistant dial the phone number so he can come on and speak. Ladies and
gentlemen, the one and only, the man, the man who has actually made two women on
The View walk off. He's a god among men.
O'REILLY: (Laughing).
GLENN: Bill O'Reilly. Hello, Bill.
O'REILLY: Finally got the intro right, through all this time.
GLENN: All right. So really people were high fiving you on The View?
O'REILLY: It's unbelievable. Not on The View.
GLENN: I mean, not on The View, yeah.
O'REILLY: I mean, I keep a low profile of my private life as you know, and I'm
walking around and going to my usual deli and this, that and the other thing.
And everywhere I go people are yelling out the windows, the cars and
GLENN: They really, they really think because I think that the audience was with
you.
O'REILLY: The audience
GLENN: In The View.
O'REILLY: in The View was with me.
GLENN: Yeah.
O'REILLY: Which was amazing. But outside I mean, my God.
GLENN: I know. But here they are in The View on The View, and the audience at
The View I believe was with Bill and they really, they just don't get it, do
they? They really don't get it?
O'REILLY: No, it's very you know, I knew when I went over there I'm writing a
newspaper column about them this week. You know, when I walked in and I've done
this show, I don't know, ten times before? I've been on there a lot over the
years because I'm friends with Barbara Walters. But I ran into Goldberg in the
GLENN: Me, too. Me, too.
O'REILLY: hallway. I get this dirty look from her, this strange kind of look.
And I went, uh oh. And I think that the genesis of this whole thing didn't
really have to do with the Muslim situation. It has to do with President Obama.
And they, Behar and Goldberg, are such zealots for the president. I mean, they
just love him. And they attribute his decline in popularity to guys like you and
me. Now, of course
PAT: I have nothing to do with it.
O'REILLY: Right but, you know, attributing to you would have some validity. But
me, I've been pretty benign about Obama although, you know, my new book,
Pinheads and Patriots, if you read the book, it really takes the Obama
administration apart for basically not being efficient and for making bad
decisions.
GLENN: Let's not let's not encourage people that have Marxist or nonfreedom
loving tendencies to become more efficient.
O'REILLY: No, but I stay out of that. I deal with the socialism business and I
actually mention your name a couple of times in Pinheads and Patriots, but I
largely stay out of that debate. Because it's been there, it's been declared.
People can make up their own mind. But what I get into very heavily in Pinheads
and Patriots
Glenn Beck is seen here on GlennBeck.TV, a feature available exclusively to Glenn Beck Insider Extreme members. |
GLENN: Say the name of the book one more time.
O'REILLY: Here's what they did. Here's what the Obama administration did and
here's how it's affecting you.
GLENN: And you can find that in, what's the name of the book?
O'REILLY: (Laughing). Don't be a pinhead, Beck. Don't be a pinhead.
GLENN: I'm a patriot. You're the pinhead.
O'REILLY: So I took and said, look, he spent $800 billion in stimulus money,
okay, and here's how it's affected you. Your job security is worse now than it
was before they spent it. That's true. So when I went on The View, that was the
undercurrent of it all, that they here's this big bad O'Reilly walking onto the
show and he's damaging our guy, President Obama. I'm almost positive that was
the underlie. Because when we started to talk about the book, I'm not going to
mention the name of it again.
GLENN: Pinheads and Patriots.
O'REILLY: But we started to talk about it, okay? I said the president has
distanced himself from the folks, and here's a good example, the 9/11 mosque
deal. That's how it came up. And then when I said Muslims killed us on 9/11, I
was surprised. I mean, I don't think that's an explosive statement. I just
don't.
GLENN: Well, I think it's a not coming not in a conversation. You have been on
the record forever. We all have. We know that all Muslims are not killers and
O'REILLY: Right. How many times over ten years do we have to do this?
GLENN: Yeah, we get it. So in conversation it can come out that way and so it's
not. You correct it. You say, all Muslims? Bill O'Reilly, all Muslims? Of
course, not all Muslims and then you go on.
O'REILLY: And who would think that other than zealots? Nobody.
GLENN: Nobody.
O'REILLY: So they use that, they use that to make this display which blew up
right in their it just blew up right in their faces.
GLENN: Oh, can I tell you something? When Joy Behar stood up, she was clearly
grandstanding. And then Whoopi is just pathetic. And they both walk off. And you
know when they really lost? They lost well, first of all, Barbara Walters being
reasonable saying, well, that they are just doing the wrong thing. And then they
lost when they walked back on the set. When they walked back on the set and they
were like, "He apologized." Like, oh, shush, he did not.
O'REILLY: Right, right. But it ignited something in the country, and this is the
power of the Internet, by the way. I mean, we had a huge audience watching it on
our show
GLENN: Why would you say?
O'REILLY: And the View gets a couple of million people watch them, too.
GLENN: Right.
O'REILLY: But the Internet just picked it up and ran, wow. But it ignited in the
country this backlash against political correctness and people are just that's
why I was getting high fived and that's why I was, you know, all my sandwiches
and sodas were bought for me because they just said enough. We have had enough
with these people like Behar and Goldberg who just seize upon anything to call
you a bigot, to, you know, brand you. And it is un American, it is unfair, it is
not charitable. Whatever, people have had I. They have had it. And I will gladly
lead this anti PC movement. I'm anointing myself as the leader.
GLENN: I don't think that you do that in a constitutional republic.
O'REILLY: You don't what?
GLENN: I don't think that you just make yourself king.
O'REILLY: I'm not king. I'm just leading the anti PC movement, you know?
GLENN: Okay, here's the thing. Oh, jeez, are you going to have tea parties and
little groups that meet all over? Because I hate the people who do that. Anyway,
Bill, you should watch the show in two nights because unbeknownst to me but I
think you're right about what that whole thing was on there, that it's anti PC.
I'm doing a special here in a couple of nights on the roots of political
correctness and it will blow your mind. It will blow your mind.
O'REILLY: Good. Well, then you can be the co leader of the anti PC movement.
We'll be co leaders.
GLENN: I don't
O'REILLY: Now, did you tell the folks about the big event coming up the night
before Halloween out in Connecticut? Did you tell them?
GLENN: Oh, yeah, we're doing the Pinhead and Patriot tour.
O'REILLY: I think it's the Bold Fresh Tour. You don't want to confuse it.
GLENN: How many books do you have to write? Jeez, man.
O'REILLY: You've got more books than I have. I'm trying to contribute to
society, not just, you know, write them.
GLENN: (Laughing).
O'REILLY: Anyway, Beck and I are going to be at Mohegan Sun, the big Indian
casino in Connecticut and we want everybody to mobilize and come up there to
come see us because it's a great show. The BoldFreshTour.com has for details.
GLENN: And it's on Halloween eve.
O'REILLY: You don't have to come in costume.
GLENN: But you are, right? You are coming as a hate mongering bigot?
O'REILLY: I've got the Joy Behar wig.
GLENN: What? I was right then, a hate mongering bigot. Anyway, Bill, one last
thing. Would you do me a favor? Go to TheBlaze.com today.
O'REILLY: I read the article already on this pinhead.
GLENN: Did you see the video?
O'REILLY: I didn't see the video.
GLENN: Oh, go read go watch the video. It's on The Blaze. And look at this guy.
Have you ever heard of him? Because this
O'REILLY: No, I never heard ever him.
GLENN: This is your kind of guy you are the guy who took down Sami Al Arian.
O'REILLY: And ward Churchill.
GLENN: Right.
O'REILLY: Yeah, this is another nut.
GLENN: This guy's amazing. What he was just saying recently, they have him on
videotape.
O'REILLY: Right.
GLENN: He's a guy who is a professor at Lincoln college in Pennsylvania. Just a
few days ago he was out and they have him on videotape and he's saying, we have
to take Israel apart. If we can do it peacefully, you know, if that's even
possible, great. Otherwise, rise up. And I mean, he's a dangerous guy.
O'REILLY: Yeah, I'm going to probably use a little bit of that on The Factor
tonight. You going to do something on it tonight?
GLENN: No, I don't have time to.
O'REILLY: You got too many mourn things to do?
GLENN: I've got so many important things to do.
O'REILLY: I don't know how you get through the day, Beck. The world, the weight
of the world on your shoulders like that?
GLENN: I'm going to be I know. I've got to talk about a little more Woodrow
Wilson tonight.
O'REILLY: Woody's coming back again?
GLENN: Woody. We have the Woody block, we have the Woody moment. All right,
Bill. Oh, wait, wait, wait, one more thing.
O'REILLY: Yeah.
GLENN: Did you see the Nancy Pelosi video?
O'REILLY: It's my talking points memo. Great minds think alike.
GLENN: Could you please address in your talking points memo tonight how wrong
you are about they are Mott Marxist socialists?
O'REILLY: I'm not listen. I'm not
GLENN: No, seriously what part of that sounds like the free market system?
O'REILLY: Why are you, why are you saying I'm wrong? I just don't care about
what their overall philosophy is. It doesn't matter to me. What matters is what
they do. So now you have the Speaker of the House saying, well, you know what?
He have to correct the unfairness here. And, of course, that means government
intervention in the private sector. So okay, now we have this one saying this
and then we're going to lay it on out there.
GLENN: This is the reason, this is the reason why you've been number one for
4,000 years.
O'REILLY: Yeah. You're more philosophical, see? I'm more methodical.
GLENN: No, you are just, you are hiding in the bushes. That's what.
O'REILLY: I'm not hiding anywhere, Beck. Are you kidding me, man?
GLENN: You are hiding in the bushes. You are just, you're camouflage. They never
see you coming. They never see you coming.
O'REILLY: The View ladies saw me coming and they fled in terror.
GLENN: All right, Bill, Good talking to you.
O'REILLY: As always.
GLENN: Pinheads and Patriots in stores everywhere now and we'll see you, when is
it? Let's see.
