How to win the argument de jour with logic and facts

The issue:
'Candidates Family Members are off-limits'
What the liberal whiners say:
'I can't help but notice, now that the shoe is on the other foot for you hypocrites, you sure don't like it, do you? Now that little Bristol Palin is getting some scrutiny, all of sudden family members are off limits! Where were you when Michelle Obama was getting torn apart by all you rabid Republican attack dogs?'
'And...how about her husband's DWI charge? Is drunken driving now completely OK to for you hypocrites when it's a Republican endangering lives?'
'No, there's the Bush twins and their drunken debauchery at the Chuy's Mexican restaurant in Texas...I guess all these drunks and trollups are just fine with you...you've conveniently forgotten all of this!'
'I see, so viciously attacking Obama's wife, his Kenyan father, his Kansan mother, Hawaiian grandmother, Nairobian half-brother...all of that is absolutely fine with the unholy alliance of right-wing nut-job Bush-botians...but don't dare hit back?
Your winning, logical, reasoned arguments
1. Sarah Palin's daughter is 17 years old for starters. She is also NOT out campaigning! Michelle Obama was campaigning for her husband when she attacked this country numerous times...that made her fair game! You can't possibly believe attacking a 17 year girl is the same thing, can you?
2. That was 22 YEARS ago. He was 22 years old at the time, and he and Sarah hadn't even met yet. He hasn't been involved in campaigning either...is this the best you can do?
3. OK, "debauchery" is REALLY a stretch...they were cited for underage drinking...SEVEN YEARS AGO! And here again, the twins were 19 at the time and NOT part of their father's campaign! In fact, Bush was just 5 months into his first term, there was no need to go after his children.
4. I don't know anyone who's attacked Obama's father, mother, grandmother or half-brother. His wife has received some criticism because she could be our next first lady, and says she's proud of the country for the first time. But thank you for again pointing out the wonderful diversity of the Barack Obama family, though.
