Glenn Beck: Media goes after Palin

No agenda here...

GLENN: I'm not really the Us Weekly reader. Now, Stu, can you tell me a little bit about the guy who no, no. Wait, tell me a little bit about the guy who owns Us Weekly and runs Us Weekly and what else he runs, but save that kind of as the after dinner mint after I give you the here's the I'm holding it up for the Insiders. This is hot off the press. Just picked it up downstairs on the subway here in Manhattan from Us Weekly. John McCain's vice president Sarah Palin. It has her holding her son Trig. The headline over the baby's body is, babies, lies, and scandal. Page 58.

Now, what you have to remember is Us Weekly is there is hardly any words in Us Weekly. There are very few words. It's mainly pictures and charts and pictures and then a little more pictures and a few charts. Nobody actually reads the story. But if you did, you'd get this: McCain hadn't vetted his presidential candidate until the night before the historic announcement. The night before he decided to vet her? Where does that fact come from? He hadn't vetted his candidate until the night before, that's Thursday night. Really? It remains unclear if or what the Republican presidential candidate, 70 let me do it right 72, knew about Palin's endless streams of controversies, from Trooper Gate, she is under investigation for dismissing an official who refused to fire her sister's state trooper ex husband. No need to go into the details on Trooper Gate. Let's just call it Trooper Gate. She wanted to fire her sister's ex husband. That's all that matters. What doesn't matter is the fact that the allegations were that he was abusing the family, shooting a stun gun at their child. It doesn't matter that when she said she was going to get a divorce and she wanted to divorce him that he came up to her and said, if you divorce if you hire an attorney, I will kill your father. That, by the way, is one of the verifiable facts in Trooper Gate. The rest, the investigation is still ongoing. We do know he said to her, "I'll kill your father if you hire an attorney." But why by the way, that would be the governor's father. Hmmm. Oh, and by the way, the she wasn't firing, she wasn't firing the guy in Trooper Gate because of the incident. Trooper Gate is really much more about who talked to who. Did anybody go and try to influence the firing of this guy. There were several people including the attorney general of the state that called the state trooper's office and said, what is the status on that. It's under investigation. It's okay: Palin came and said, why is this guy still being paid? Do you realize he has threatened the life of the father of the governor. The guy who's in charge of the investigation said, Mr. Palin, you do not want to be here right now because this will be construed as a and he left and never made contact again. You're telling me that somebody who was according to, you know, the sister's side giving shocks to your child with a stun gun and then verifiably threatens the life of your father if your sister hires an attorney. You are telling me you wouldn't go in? Remember, we're not talking about Washington D.C. We're talking about people who were a soccer mom and an oil rig worker. You're damn right you would. Okay. So they don't explain that in Us Magazine. They just say, from Trooper Gate to her involvement with the Alaska Independence Party, a fringe political group that has sought Alaska's secession from the U.S. .

Stu, do you have the update or Joe, do you have the update on the Independent party? She wasn't a member of the Independence Party.

STU: Oh, yeah, that wasn't even true.

GLENN: Yeah, but it's printed here.

STU: Wait, in a magazine?

GLENN: Yeah, it's printed.

STU: In Us, in the Us Weekly, the paper of record?

GLENN: And her husband, Todd's DUI arrest. The DUI arrest, by the way, happened at the same time that Barry Obama, otherwise known as Barack Obama, was snorting cocaine. I just wanted to point that out. One had a DUI arrest while the other at the same time and by the way, not the candidate, not the presidential candidate but the vice presidential candidate's husband got a DUI while the guy who's at the top of the ticket was snorting cocaine. I just want to point that out.

Then you have Palin herself found herself under the kind of microscope to which the ex mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, population 6700, is no doubt unaccustomed. Excuse me? The ex mayor, would that be like calling Barack Obama the ex community organizer? He is a senator and she is a governor. The most bizarre twist in the mail storm of negative press in a plot directly out of Desperate Housewives, reports circulated online that Bristol, 17, was the real mother of her parents' 4 month old son Trig afflicted with Down Syndrome. Yeah, there were reports. There were reports; they were blogs. The supposed evidence, Bristol's five month absence from high school with mono and photos of Bristol and her mom looking respectively pregnant and not pregnant. See box at right. Mainstream media began reporting this story the mainstream media began reporting the stories that were on the blog!

Okay. Here is the center. I'm going to show this to the Insiders. Okay. This is all the story that nobody reads. Everybody reads highlights, then the center of the pictures. Nowhere in here does it say well, here. Anatomy of a scandal. Questions about these photos led to Alaska governor's stunning admission about her teenage daughter Bristol. What started as Internet rumor quickly built up steam as bloggers speculated Sarah was never pregnant and Trig was really Bristol's baby. Indeed the facts did seem odd.

It doesn't say it's untrue in the box. They show pictures of, where's the bump. I've seen the pictures, verified, of her a month before she gave picture before she gave birth to Trig. Then it shows the pictures of her daughter with, you know, the baby bump. This is outrageous. And then the other Palin controversies, again with Trooper Gate, but they don't explain it. Then I love this one: At the bottom, the second to the last problem with Palin. You ready? You're not going to believe it.

Stu, in fact, before I get to this one, who runs Us Weekly?

STU: Well, Glenn, it's interesting that you would ask that question.

GLENN: Yeah.

STU: It is the same guy who founded Rolling Stone. Which is weird. He's also a maxed out Obama donor, and the odd thing about that is he hasn't Us Weekly hasn't I mean, you have to be fair. He hasn't only covered the Sarah Palin. He's covered also the other big female figure in this election, of course Michelle Obama, and was pretty much the same headline as you had. There was

GLENN: This is babies, lies and scandal.

STU: Yeah. The headline for Michelle Obama was, Michelle Obama, why Barack loves her. I mean, that's pretty much the same story.

GLENN: Okay. So now you know who's running this. I just want to just show you the hypocrisy. Here is the second to the last argument on why she's just too controversial. You ready? In fact, I want you guys to open your mics. Ready? Big bold headline: Iffy friends.

STU: No way. That's made up. No way.

GLENN: Iffy friends. Running as a reformed candidate, Palin swore to clean up corruption. So eyebrows were raised when she accepted the endorsement of Senator Ted Stevens. They don't say this, but let me just put in, who wasn't at the time but now this is where I pick it up again is under indictment for accepting gifts.

STU: (Laughing).

DAN: (Laughing).

GLENN: I mean, it's unbelievable. And you know what? I started with Us Magazine because we've talked several times on this program about the dummy vote and how important the dummy vote is. The Obama campaign and I can't really well, yes, I can say it about his campaign as well because this man never gives any facts. He never gives anything. But the supporters of Obama, they're going for the dummy vote. They're just, they don't care about anything but winning. I have never seen a hatchet job done on anyone like I've seen on Sarah Palin.

Now, I want you to understand. She may not be qualified with the war on terror. I don't know. I haven't heard her speak. She speaks tonight. I don't know if she understands the world as I understand the world. I'll wait to hear tonight. This is obscene on what is happening to this woman and her family, obscene. But you know what? Wait until I give you what the New York Times said today. Wait until I read story after story after story after story. You will not believe the hypocrisy, you know. And I know people right now, "Glenn, of course I'm going to believe it." No, you won't. No, you won't. And you know what? You know what's really sad for these people is they write. I have audio and tonight I have video. So I can not only take their words but I can, today through audio and tonight through video, juxtapose them to the hypocrisy that spilled out of their mouths. Oh, just wait.

Our Fourth Amendment, which protects our right to privacy, has never been in more danger. Journalist Lara Logan joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Thursday to explain how the digital world has given leaders — both in government and corporations — the ability to not only spy on Americans, but to track their patterns of behavior, too.

Lara explained why, even if you think you have nothing to hide, you should be very concerned. Because these digital "human terrain maps" could be used to manipulate you in any way those in control see fit.

"The purpose of your privacy is much more than just being out of public view," Lara said. "There is really nothing that's more central to our democracy than the right to privacy. I mean, all of the rights in the Constitution have a real purpose, and a real value, and if we allow people to take them away from us, we voluntarily are surrendering that. We are lambs to the slaughter.

"They're not just looking at what you have to hide. They're looking to manipulate you into doing what they want. These are control systems. That's what they are," Lara explained. "What they do with the information is they create a 'human terrain map' for every single person on the planet, anyone within a digital signature or within their reach. They are creating a human terrain map that can be used against you, by anyone."

Who were the people and groups involved with coronavirus research, and what really went down before and after the pandemic began? On "Glenn TV" this week, Glenn Beck heads to the chalkboard to outline a tale of negligence and then, coverup. The elites of the world - the people calling themselves experts - trusted the Chinese Communist Party with one of the most dangerous weapons we can imagine on this planet--a virus.

Glenn reveals who was involved in a definitive timeline, and argues: If proof of a lab leak does come out, the worlds needs to know EVERYONE that was involved. We must expose the coverup and attempt to control the narrative of the pandemic origins. Everyone from Big Tech, the media, the Chinese and even our own government have been involved. What lies behind the coverup could reveal the dirty secret that, in order to cut corners, the academic elites and government entrusted Communist China with a civilization-killing virus.

BlazeTV host Mark Levin said his new book, "American Marxism," provides proof that we're not just facing a coming Marxist revolution — it's already here.

Many Americans remain unconvinced, believing recent moves from the far left and the Democratic Party are just passing phases. But this is not a "fad," Levin told Glenn Beck on the radio program Tuesday.

"This isn't progressivism, or social activism, or democratic socialism. This is Marxism. Now, it may not be Marxism in every particular. But it's an Americanized form of Marxism," Levin explained.

"You need to pay attention to what's taking place ... You've seen it with your own two eyes. You saw the riots all summer long. You saw Black Lives Matter, which is headed by an openly proud Marxist. You see Antifa, which is a Marxist anarchist organization. You see the media, that you have been watching and reading, endorse every single one of these movements," he added.

"People have been brainwashed, or ... haven't been paying attention. They view this as a passing fad," Levin went on to say. "It's not. We all need to wake up to this. And if we have little differences, moderate Democrats, Libertarians and so forth, you better put them aside right now. Because we have a common enemy. I say enemy, not opponent. Not adversary. Enemy. And we need to be focused on defeating that enemy, rather than fighting among ourselves."

Electric vehicles are the wave of the future. They are so much better for the environment. At least that's what we have been told, but is this correct?

On his TV special, Glenn Beck explained how electric vehicles (EVs) might not actually be the environmental solution we've been led to believe. In fact, they may not be a solution at all.

Glenn shared a recent article from LiveScience that reported:

A 2014 study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences looked at the entire life cycle of an EV's emissions, from mining the metals required for the batteries to producing the electricity needed to power them, and then compared this with the average emissions of a gas-powered vehicle. The team found that when electric vehicles are charged with coal-powered electricity, they're actually worse for the environment than conventional gasoline cars.

He next shared an article from The Greenage, which stated:

The Union of Concerned Scientists has calculated that manufacturing a mid-sized EV with an 84-mile range results in about 15 percent more emissions than manufacturing an equivalent gasoline vehicle. For larger, longer-range EVs that travel more than 250 miles per charge, the manufacturing emissions can be as much as 68 percent higher.

Noting how electric vehicles and other fossil-fuel alternatives require the use of mined minerals like lithium, cobalt, zinc, copper, and nickel, among others, Glenn quoted an International Energy Agency report that warned reaching the goals of the Paris Agreement "would mean a quadrupling of mineral requirements for clean energy technologies by 2040. An even faster transition, to hit net-zero globally by 2050, would require six times more mineral inputs in 2040 than today."

"Can [you] predict which country is the world leader in processing the minerals needed for these batteries? Right, China," Glenn stated. "The average EV requires over 200 kilograms of minerals. The average gas vehicle requires 40 kilograms of minerals, mostly copper. A single EV has 22 pounds of lithium in it ... yet another way that the green reset of American energy is putting us all at the mercy of Communist China."

"Oh, and remember during the Obama administration when the world was gonna end' over fracking?" Glenn asked. "Well, the Institute for Energy Research now says, and I quote, 'Mining and processing of lithium, however, turns out to be far more environmentally harmful than what turned out to be the unfounded issues with fracking.'"
