GLENN: From Radio City in Midtown Manhattan, third most listened to show in all of America. I have to tell you now I'm starting to look like an optimist with some of the things that have been said now that capitalism just doesn't work, that capitalism is now going to fail, that our system has been discredited. Sarkozy has come out and said capitalism is not dead but capitalism as America understands it is dead. The states now will play a bigger role. Well, that is not capitalism. That is nationalism. That is nationalizing your industry. That's fascism. Remember when I said, what, four months ago we are marching towards fascism. "No, that's crazy." There is a new system that has been developed. It has been developed in China and it has been developed in Russia and that's what we're headed for. I should have known it. I should have known it.
I have a friend who was working at one of the big stock markets and he said he was on a plane and he had gone over to China and it was the time when Yao Ming was playing somebody and it was carried while he was over there on national television of China. And he said, my gosh, Glenn, it was such a market. It was 60 million people watching on just one channel and it was carried on four different channels. He's like, the NBA is over there. What a market. And I said, National Basketball Association. He said, what are you talking about? I said, it's not a market. This is our country, man. He's like, it's all going that direction. I should have known it. I should have known it that the people who are into finance, they don't see us this way anymore. They don't see they see it, "Well, it's all global, all going to be one." And when they saw a way to make money and they see a way for things to get done the way they want it to get done and that's the only way... capitalism in a democracy, it's ugly. It's brutal. A republic is ugly because you've got to convince everybody to do it.
The reason why, the reason why our country almost lost World War II was because you've got to convince people. We couldn't gear it up right away. You've got to convince people, you've got to bring them on board, you've got to do what we're doing now. What were we screaming at last weekend? What are we screaming at? Every time they make these on a weekend. They make these deals on a weekend, they keep us out of it. Whose country is this? Well, you are about to find out. Whose country is this? It is the global banks, it's the Fed, it's the central banks, it's the politicians. The country is fundamentally changing. German finance minister says the dollar is going to become relative to all other currencies. The Germans want it, the Chinese want it. The Chinese are talking about the Chinese are talking about one global currency, not the U.S. dollar. One global currency. Chinese yesterday said that their banks can no longer make any loans to the United States. The UN says one world finance. The UN also, several people at the UN this week said capitalism is dead, it doesn't work. What are you talking about it doesn't work? Greed doesn't work. Concentrated political power doesn't work. Fannie and Freddie doesn't work. Why did Fannie and Freddie not work? Because it is the hybrid between government and capitalism. It is taking political power and injecting money into it. That's why it didn't work. Socialism doesn't work. Marxism doesn't work. Fascism doesn't work. Capitalism works. Capitalism put a man on the moon. Chinese, they're trying to walk in space today. We've not only walked in space, we've had a picnic on the moon. Capitalism. Freedom.
You think Edison would have done what he did? You think Edison would have been able to do what he did in a country like China? Nope. Not free to think. Not free to fail. Edison changed the world in America. This country changed the world. This system changed the world and now they have been slowly but surely changing our system. They have been they have been doing it since 1914. They have been moving this direction. They have been moving step by step, piece by piece towards global government and now we're about to get a global financial system. We're about to get an America that we don't even begin to recognize. This is a hostile takeover of our country. And it's all done literally in the middle of the night. Where's the voice that says we shouldn't be doing this? Where's the voice? Do you hear anybody in congress? Where's the coverage of Ron Paul? This guy has predicted this every step of the way. Where's the coverage of Ron Paul? Where's the coverage, where's the coverage of DeMint? Why is that? How's that happening? Where is the spine of either one of these candidates to tell us, to step to the microphone and say this is what needs to be done? You know why? You know why we're not doing it? Because they don't know. They got people. This is how I'd kill for President Romney right now. A guy who could step to the microphone and explain it. And say, look, this is the deal. These are the things that we have to do. At least, at least he could be held accountable. These people are not going to be held accountable because they're not going to take a stand. Why aren't they going to take a stand? Because they don't truly understand it. They are being used. Their strings are being pulled.
These guys are calling in some of the biggest experts let me tell you something. Let me tell you something that I let me tell you something that I haven't seen in the press anywhere. I only have one source on this. So maybe it's it's a good no, it's a good source.
John McCain had a meeting. Some of the biggest, some of the biggest names, some of the biggest names in industry. Capitalism, big, big brains. It's my understanding that that meeting that was called was to last an hour and had 20 of the biggest people go into that meeting. Well, why haven't I heard about that meeting? Who were the people involved? And that's great, if you are doing that, that's great. But you had 20 people and it was going to last an hour? You give everybody two minutes to speak, you haven't solved a damn thing. That only leaves 20 minutes to come up with a solution and argue about it. What the hell is that? Besides a publicity stunt? But there was no publicity. Why did that happen? Did it happen? Did it happen? Who are the people advising these people? I know who Obama has. You know, he had Raines as his advisor, the guy who brought us, what was it, Fannie or Freddie? Made $90 million in salary. Cooked the books. That was his mortgage guy to give advice on, you know, the mortgage situation. You've got to be kidding me, right? I know Bob Rubin is advising Obama. I haven't agreed with anything that guy says. That guy, that guy is going to take you to a socialist place. And they're taking us there. Where is the coverage of any other voice? Where is any other option? We're going to get a deal. That's what the President says. We're going to get a deal. Well, how about presenting the options to us?
You notice that the President, he spoke. He explained the problem, kind of, and then he says we need a bailout. But it was where's somebody that will explain the charts? Where was somebody that will say, "Look, America, you've got a choice. America, we're on the verge of collapse. America, the rest of the world says capitalism doesn't work." Where is that in the news? Where is the leader that's going to stand up and say, bullcrap capitalism doesn't work. Greed doesn't work. Where is that?
