GLENN BECK PROGRAM

GLENN: The Clinton/Obama poll has come out. I don't think I believe this. Stu and I were talking about this. First of all, this is one poll that has come out that shows that Obama has come up and Clinton has come down. Now, she deserves it. She deserves. But this is only one poll. It's a Rasmussen poll from Scott Rasmussen, and you just can't buy into one poll one day, although she deserves it. It gives me actually hope.

You know everybody always says, Glenn, where's our hope. Here's your hope. Obama is coming up in the polls and the reason why I say that's hope is I mean, I think he's a nightmare. I think this guy is -- this guy's just a nightmare on his policies, but I really believe that when people start to listen to his policies, you know, they'll choose someone else, pretty much anyone else.

However, with that being said, the good news is at least it shows America is awake. You know, Bill Cosby once said before he started the Cosby show, he said, "I have failed in vehicles that others have built for me. I've done a ton of television and I keep failing in show after show after show." He said, "I'm not going to fail on somebody else's idea. If I fail this time, I'm going to fail on my idea." And that idea was The Cosby Show. It was the same kind of attitude that I had when I started this show. You know, everybody told me this show wouldn't work and, you know, I don't have the talent for talk radio or whatever, and surprisingly they're right, but America's taste is just so -- I mean, the bar is so low that even I can get over it. And I remember saying to Stu when I first started the show, I'm going to do it my way and if it fails, it fails; it's okay. I just have to be who I am.

I don't mind if people don't like me or don't want to watch the show or listen to the show or whatever, because of who I really am. It drives me crazy that we live in a world where these blogs can take things so wildly out of context and take humor and make it into truth, you know, make it into something that I actually said. It bothers me that there are a lot of people in America that don't know me, never watch me, never listen to me but only know me through these blogs and they hate my guts. And the only reason why it really bothers me is I don't mind failing on what I really, truly believe. I don't mind somebody not liking me for what I believe. And that's the way all of our presidential candidates should be. That's the way every single person that is running for President should want to feel, and unfortunately I think Hillary Clinton stands up and she wants to succeed on what you think she is, not what she really is. Have the guts, have the courage to stand up and say, you know, I know 77% of the American people are against driver's license for illegal aliens, but I think it's the right thing to do. Have the courage to say it.

I think America is yearning for somebody who -- look, you're insane if you think you're going to agree with everything a politician is going to say. You're nuts. If they are you, well, what about the person next to you? How does that person who's not you, who doesn't agree with everything, only agrees with 80% of what you say, how is that person going to be able to relate to this person? You have to understand. You've got 80%. You're good. You're good. But these politicians, especially the Clintons, they triangulate so much, you don't even know who they are, and I have to tell you. I was thinking about it last night. How is it that she can get away with it? How is it that you've got all the connections to China, you have all of the -- I mean, did you see -- I mean, driving in today, Kathleen Willey has a new book out. Oh, jeez. You're kidding me. Really? We're going to go through this again? She's got a new book out that says that she thinks the Clintons killed her cat and... whatever. I don't know. Did they kill her cat? You know what? This is reason number 1,473 not to vote for a Clinton or a Bush. Did they kill the cat? I don't know. I don't care anymore. You want a sure way for the Clintons to stop killing people's cats or not cats and having somebody write books about it? Don't elect them. You know, I just can't take the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton thing anymore. Good heavens.

And so you look at everything that is coming, you see the same old -- we're picking it up right where we left it. We're picking it up right at the place where they left it where they were taking all kinds of money from China that they shouldn't be taking. That's where we left.

"When last we left the Clintons, they were taking money from China that they shouldn't have." I mean, it's like nothing happened in the last eight years, except apparently they are killing cats. I don't know anything about it. Where is Socks? What happened to Socks?

Where's Buddy? You notice both Buddy and Socks both dead. I'm not saying that they killed them but I'm not not saying it, either. I mean, come on! Yes, Stu?

STU: You know what's amazing about this, the whole debate thing with Clinton is that if you remember, when we talked about this when we had Giuliani on the next day and he was saying, look, I'm against illegal immigrants getting driver's license. Barack Obama was for it. Hillary Clinton had -- who knows where she was.

GLENN: Yeah.

STU: But if you remember, everyone on the stage, only Chris Dodd said he was actually against driver's license for illegal immigrants. The same poll that you were talking about finds that just 19% of Democratic primary voters in New Hampshire support that. 19% of Democratic primary voters.

GLENN: This is -- to me, you know what this says to me. They are so convinced that they are going to win that they are not even playing to the primary voters. They are playing to the new voters that will get driver's license, and I don't even mean this election. This is a play for the hearts and the minds of the real next power in America, the Hispanic movement and so it's just, play right into those guys. They are so convinced that they are going to win. I mean, why else would you do that? Why else would you did that?

STU: I mean, I think they actually believe it.

GLENN: Yeah. I do, too.

Political commentator Bill O'Reilly joined the Glenn Beck radio program on Friday made an important prediction about President Joe Biden's chance of reelection in 2024.

O'Reilly told Glenn that former President Donald Trump was brought down because of COVID. "if COVID had not appeared, O'Reilly stated, "he [Trump] would have won reelection."

O'Reilly went on to predict that like Trump, President Joe Biden would lose reelection because of COVID. People saw a president who could not put out an intelligent fact-based message about COVID and people will remember that," he explained.

O'Reilly later added that "Trump and Biden are one-termers because of COVID."

Critical race theory: Marxism is a religion

Marx didn't actually tell his followers that the system needed to be destroyed. And it's not what Marx actually believed. Very few Marxists actually understand what Marx laid out.

Marxism isn't a list of demands and instructions. It's Marx's attempt to tell the future. Some of it he got right, most he got wrong. For example, he predicted the rise of automation.

Believe it or not, Marx was not an anti-capitalist. If anything, he revered it.

In a letter to Engels, he complained that too many people misunderstood his message, that his plan is to merge with capitalism. To make it new. He wanted to reify his brand of socialism, reify is a Marxist term, actually. It basically means to make an abstract idea concrete.

Marx didn't hate capitalism. He actually thought it was necessary. And he knew communism would never happen without the aid of capitalism.

Marx didn't hate capitalism. He actually thought it was necessary.

From there, he takes these ideas to some weird conclusions. Horrible conclusions. The main one being revolution.

What does the first phase of the Marxist revolution look like? How will we know if it has started? How can we tell if it's already begun? Marx's idea of the "dictatorship of the proletariat," where the working class would rise up in revolution and earn their freedom.

But what did Marx mean by freedom? Like so much of Marxism, it involves giving up your individuality, in service to the collective: "Only in community with others does each individual have the means of cultivating his gifts in all directions; only in the community, therefore, is personal freedom possible."

That's from his book The German Ideology, which he co-wrote with Friedrich Engels, the guy who paid all of his bills: "Free competition, which is based on the idea of individual freedom, simply amounts to the relation of capital to itself as another capital."

His idea here is that capital ruins any idea of freedom or individuality. And competition is what he uses as proof. In other words, Marx's definition of freedom has nothing to do with actual freedom, freedom as we know it.

He wrote, in Capital: "It is not individuals who are set free by free competition; it is, rather, capital which is set free."

He's saying that Capital manipulates our individual freedom and forces us to exploit ourselves. For someone who didn't believe in God, he sure had some fanciful ideas about the forces that control the universe.

For someone who didn't believe in God, he sure had some fanciful ideas about the forces that control the universe.

Marxists have always argued that capitalism is a religion. That our debt to capital is no different than our debt to God. Critical Theorist Walter Benjamin wrote an entire book called Capitalism as Religion, and wrote that capitalism is "the first case of a cult that creates guilt, not atonement."

There were many strains of socialism before Marx. There were entire movements, named after socialist and anarchist philosophers. But Marx was the one who figured it out, with the help of a rotating cast of people paying for his sloth, of course.

Marx's influence on socialism was so profound that socialism was practically re-named in honor of Marx. Marx has been deified.

He created a utopian society. Very hypothetical. It requires a working class that is devoted to daily readings of The Communist Manifesto.

This assumes that people who work all day — at a real job, where they can't just sit on the couch all day as Marx did — even have the energy to read dense theory when they get home.

Marx made a religion.

This post is part of a series on critical race theory. Read the full series here.

The Capitol riot was foolish and tragic, but Pelosi's Select Committee "investigation" on the January 6 "insurrection" has devolved into a show trial complete with bad tears and bad acting. But this is just a charade designed to distract us.

What's going on behind closed doors is truly nefarious. The Biden White House and the U.S. national security apparatus are seizing that event to redefine domestic terrorism and expand the powers of government to prevent it. There is an alarming blueprint for sweeping government action called the "National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism," put together by the National Security Council.

On his Wednesday night special this week, Glenn Beck exposes the collusion between the Biden administration and Big Tech to surveil, root out, and silence America's deplorables – all in the name of national security.

Terry Trobiani owns Gianelli's Drive Thru in Prairie Grove, Illinois, where he put up a row of American flags for the Fourth of July. But the city claimed he was displaying two of them improperly and issued him a $100 ticket for each flag.

Terry joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Tuesday to explain what he believes really happened. He told Glenn that, according to city ordinance, the American flag is considered "ornamental" and should therefore have been permitted on a federal holiday. But the city has now classified the flag as a "sign."

"Apparently, the village of Prairie Grove has classified the American flag as a sign and they've taken away the symbol of the American flag," Terry said. "So, as a sign, it falls under their temporary sign ordinance, which prohibits any flying, or any positioning of signs on your property — and now this includes the American flag. [...] The only way I could fly the American flag on my property is if I put it on a permanent 20 to 30-foot flagpole, which they have to permit."

Terry went on to explain how the city is now demanding an apology for his actions, and all after more than a year of small-business crushing COVID restrictions and government mandates.

"COVID was tough," Terry stated. "You know, we're in the restaurant business. COVID was tough on us. We succeeded. We made it through. We cut a lot of things, but we never cut an employee. We paid all our employees. I didn't take a paycheck for a year just to keep our employees on, because it was that important to me to keep things going. And, you know, you fight for a year, and you beat a pandemic, and then you have this little municipality with five trustees and a president, who just have no respect for small businesses. And right now, what I see is they have no respect for the republic and the United States ... I think it's terrible. The direction that government, at all levels, have taken us to this point, it's despicable."
