VOICE: The Glenn Beck program presents more truth behind America's march to socialism.
GLENN: Yes, comrades, our socialist country is finally here and while our glorious leader Barack Obama is bringing the most visible bricks, I want you to know the wall is being built and has been built for years slowly while most weren't paying attention, some even compassionate conservatives were walling us in themselves. Everyone talks about, you know, how every kid wins a trophy these days and no one seems to be allowed to be a loser anymore. Socialism has already invaded sports but a lot of people will say, oh, who cares. Let's just let the kids go out there. It's a little league game. So what if the kids have a good time and every game ends in a tie and every loser gets a trophy. Well, now that same concept has struck the world of education. We know the subject matter has been borderline socialist for a long time but now we find that the grades are socialist as well. Listen up. A study of grades in college finds this. In 1991 the average GPA for a student was 2.93. By 1996 it was up 2.99. By 2001 it was up to 3.07 and today it's 3.11. Why? Are the kids just getting smarter? Is it possible that the generation of college students that brought us girls gone wild are just intellectually superior to their predecessors? No. That's not in the report. That's just the truth according to my analysis of the accuracy of my orders at drivethrough. Economist Marc Perry found that the average GPA at the University of Michigan increased from 2.57 in 1951 to 3.27 in 2009. That means the average grade, yes, the average grade at the University of Michigan is now a B-plus. The average grade. Apparently the only way you can fail in English class today is suggest that it should be the official language of our country, and the only way you could fail a science class is to say maybe the sun has something to do with the temperature on Earth.
VOICE: That was even more overwhelming evidence that we are destined to be a bunch of socialist pigs very, very soon on the Glenn Beck program.
